Just wanted to brag again about my husband, and give you a new thread to brag about your SO also since. It has been a hot minute since I've seen one.
Husband has been cleaning our apartment all day to motivate me to finish our thank you notes from our wedding back in March. Our living room and bathroom are looking great. We'll probably tackle our bedroom and laundry this weekend together. I'm so thankful to have such a sweet guy.

What's your SO doing lately that makes you smile?

Mine has been home all week and moved furniture down to the spare room. I came home Tuesday night from work and he painted the baby's room! I nearly cried!

This isn't a big thing, but it ment a lot to me. The other night I had a terrible pregnancy dream that he didn't love me any more and was leaving us. I know I woke him up with tossing and turning in the middle of the night so the next morning I told him why I slept so poorly. He made extra efforts to tell me that he loved me that day and give me lots of cuddles.

I found out at 20 weeks I am pregnant with twins and was forced to go to a nutritionist who informed me I should be eating 2,300 calories a day. I was sick for the first half of the pregnancy and still have some food averisions. Mix that with limited stomach space and this seemed impossible! The goal is to do it with nutritional foods (even HARDER), but he has been bringing home treats a few days a week to try to help me help the babies grow. Sadly, half the time I am not in the mood for them, but it is sweet and makes me smile!

I've been suffering from horrible acid reflux and it has me vomiting 3-4 times a day. I ended up very dehydrated over the weekend and hubby had to take me to the ER for fluids on Tuesday. Not only did he sit through the 2.5 L they gave me (and me vomiting, which he held the bucket), but he did it without even the hint of a complaint.

Now, knowing that I'm dehydrating very easily, he is doing EVERYTHING around the house and making sure that I'm on the couch with my feet up and a drink by my side so that we don't have any issues.

He has always been very helpful around the house and very attentive, but he has definitely stepped up his game. I could not appreciate it more!

My husband has been so supportive throughout the whole process. I can't believe when people say their husbands annoy them because it has just made me love him even more!!

I am extremely lucky because I have had an easy pregnancy thus far. However, I am starting to "feel it" a lot more and he rubs my feet every night and helps me with everything without even asking!

He also has set up the nursery and spent so much time preparing for baby since we found out we were expecting! It's the sweetest thing.

Loving this thread! My SO does not get enough praise. He is amazing. Beyond amazing actually we just bought a new house and he took this whole week off to clean paint and set up the new place. The amount of care and detail he is putting into the house makes me fall I love with him even more. He gets home and I am already asleep but last night I woke up to him talking to the baby about the new house. What a sweetheart taking time out after he worked ALL DAY to make sure the baby knows how excited he is for the new house and nursery. My heart is a pile of mush! In addition, he has been to every single doctor appointment and now we go every two weeks (HBP) he is still there holding my hand or my water bottle. I could go on and on. Trying to think of a nice way to say thank you. Buying him a six pack when I am 6 months pregnant was fun

My boyfriend treats my almost 4 year old like his own. Always so good with him. It was super weird at first, but now it's just normal and my son idolizes him. I'm just happy they have such a positive loving relationship. My boyfriend also does some of the house work !

Yesterday, he got up early to work out so he could be home in time for me to go to my favorite class at the gym. One of us had to be home to wait for an appliance repair guy, so I wouldn't have been able to go otherwise.

On top of that, I got home, and he had completely cleaned the living room and kitchen. It's not out of the ordinary for him, but it was really nice to come home to a sparkling house!

He was also the voice of reason and convinced me to let the guy repair our washer for $190 rather than just go buy a brand new one at Sears for many more dollars.

Great thread! I always LOVE reading these stories. There is so much kindness out there between spouses, and so many of these babies are being born into families that will have great dads - so important in a day and age when most fathers in popular culture (books, movies, etc.) are absent, overgrown frat boys, or "wrong" and need to be taught things by their own kids. (A game I like to play with my high school students is "think of a movie where the father figure is both not-dead and respectable." It's very hard!)

This thread's story is more apparently-materialistic than some others I've posted, but it's about a gesture that meant a lot to me. About a month ago, I asked my husband to find me a cheap interim wedding ring because I could tell my swelling knuckles would only give me a week or two in my ring set. I haven't taken them off for more than a minute or two total in the past five years, and because they are specially blessed as sacramentals, I was already feeling sad. All I wanted was a cheap sterling ring, but he went out and custom-designed me a little 2mm rose gold band that he got blessed by one of our priest friends. It was a really special surprise that meant a lot to me, because we don't have a lot of money, but he knew how important it was for me to have a ring that really came from him.

My husband has been working so much so that I don't have to go back to work. Today he took me with him cause it was a small job that I could just be around him with. Even when he gets home late he sets aside specific time to talk with me and cuddle. My ex husband paid no attention to me so this is exactly what I need. I will do all the cooking and cleaning but I need to be told I love you multiple times a day and a hugged and kissed frequently. My husband always gives me exactly what I need.

As an outsider you would never even know my three year old isn't his. He treats her like his own and honestly they look just alike. I'm often told how much more she looks like him then me hahah by people who dont know that he isn't her bio father.

I was feeling exhausted and overwhelmed the other day by the state of our house, so he sent me for a nap while he cleaned our main floor of the house instead of working in the garage like he had planned to. So incredibly thoughtful.

I need to brag too. My husband has been so good to me through this pregnancy. From researching prenatal vitamins for me to take, going to the important appointments, dealing with my pregnancy moans and not wanting sex enough (I remember last time I was good to go anytime...maybe its the humidity but I'm just not that into it). He let me order a snoogle to help my sleeping problems, helps entertain out daughter when I need to put my swollen feet up. He's a good guy and my kids are so lucky to have a smart, sensitive and loving father.

My mother had a troublesome marriage and finally she came in contact with one of her High school boyfriends after her divorce and he is now the father of my little sister and he cooks and cleans and is a wonderful support system for her. Did I mention he's the caretaker for their daughter while she works? Hats off to the solid guys out there! Whoop woop !

My husband has had his good and bad moments this pregnancy, but overall, I'm so grateful to have him. He's not stressed out or worried, just happy. He tells me I'm a badass all the time. He does the laundry, cleans, and takes care of our cats. On top of his 10 hour work day. He has put away a few thousand dollars into our savings account to prepare for baby.

He and I have a funny relationship. We pick on each other in good fun. Last night he told me he's going to start calling me "Bed Whale" because I was sleeping naked and looked enormous (but totally hot, he added). I think he's hilarious and I love that we can have a sense of humor about this pregnancy.

I can't believe how much being pregnant has changed my relationship with my wife. I fall a little more in love with her every day. My favorite time of the day is when we lay down together at night and she lays her head near my belly to talk to the baby. He goes crazy every time he talks to her. I lay there in pure bliss :x

She works her ass off every day, then comes home and starts dinner if I haven't gotten home from work yet or if I'm not feeling too hot. She spent her day off on Tuesday scrubbing the bathroom and kitchen, doing laundry and grocery shopping. She comforts me when I'm crying over nothing. She goes for walks with me so I can stay active even after she has been on her feet all day for her 10+ hour shift. She tells me how much she loves my body when I am feeling like a whale. She keeps up with my crazy sex drive. She takes care of our dogs when their smell is making me nauseous.

Oh and she bought me Muddy Buddies yesterday, and didn't judge me when I ate almost the entire bag... Oops. Those are dangerously good!

She is my everything and I feel so lucky to have her!

Aww, what a nice thread.

Mine has had dinner ready every night when I come home from work. He even does his best to clean up as he goes along so I don't have much to do afterward. It may not seem like much to some but to have that one thing off my plate has been amazing.

I love reading these posts!! My DH has been wonderfully supportive with everything. He is super attentive and chips in whenever he can to help. He makes me feel pretty when I feel like a beached whale (and does so sincerely!) I think my favorite thing is all the funny things he says to the baby. He always makes me laugh and warms my heart!

My DH has always been amazing and pregnancy is no exception. Everyday we wake up and he makes me breakfast. He makes me whatever I want-- eggs smoothie anything! He works all day and I'm not currently working. Some days he does the dishes for me. I've been really attention needy lately and he has just gone with it and not told me I'm annoying or anything. I love that he thinks I'm beautiful and can laugh with me when I have to roll out of bed.

My husband works 6 days a week, some days 12-14 hours and often having to go out of town overnight, just to support our family. He deals with heat, long days with no breaks, bosses and sometimes customers who don't treat him well but it means I get to stay home with our son and soon, our daughter.

And he agreed to cancel his Netflix DVD membership so I could join a gym without impacting our budget. He's very supportive of my fitness goals overall, even though he says I look sexy exactly as I am.

My husband surprised me tonight by contacting a newborn photographer and setting up a session for the week after my due date. Without being asked to do that. And he already put in the deposit. On top of that he paid for the newborn photo prop we have been eyeing on etsy. Wow. How did I get so lucky?

I have had this whole week off of work so I have been getting to sleep in a little later than he does. Every morning this week he has climbed back into bed for a few minutes before he leaves for work to cuddle with me and feel the baby move. It sounds cheesy but it makes me wake up every morning with a smile on my face

Monday was our anniversary and even though we don't do gifts he brought home some flowers and lumber to surprise me. The plan is to build a new flower box together this weekend to plant the flowers in. This type of thing is right up my alley. We love doing projects together and I think it was such a sweet idea. He has just been exceptionally thoughtful lately. I just love that man so much!

My hubby is always very helpful. He told me today while I'm at work over the weekend he will scrub the bathrooms and kitchen floor. Things that make me huff and puff with this growing belly.
Also, he emailed me to see how my day was going and it was an extremely busy hectic day. I told him I needed to go to the store to get stuff for supper after work. When I got home he had the kitchen table set up with my favorite choice from Jimmy Johns. Told me he didn't exactly cook but wanted me to have a night to relax. It's the little things! Love him so much :x

I love my husband he has been so good to me throughout this pregnancy. He always rubs my back without me having to ask (I've had a lot of back pain), he will cook if he sees I'm not feeling good, also we are very active in our church and if I'm having a really bad day he will teach for me.
Oh and last night he showed me all kinds of baby stuff that he's been looking at online (this coming from a man that I can hardly get to go to the grocery store with me). He has been so good, he will be a great father!!!

We have to move our guest room into the basement and the cats poop down there. We just leave the door to the storage space open but I don't want my guests to have to sleep with the door to the cat shitter open all night! We have to install one at the top of the stairs too so that we can actually close that door once we have a crawling baby!

Last night I couldn't fall asleep until 2am due to restless legs and I kept getting really warm and then really cold. He first read a chapter in a book that we've been reading to me but I couldn't focus, so he stopped that and instead made up his own story (about 2 dogs and a mouse who explore downtown Chicago) and rubbed my legs until I fell asleep. He said he's practicing for when baby can't sleep........

My husband is awesome. I do not give him nearly enough credit for all that he does. I made a list of goals for things that I want accomplished around the house before baby #2 arrives. He has gone above and beyond to get these things accomplished. He's a union plumber so he lifts heavy things all day and is on his feet and he still comes home to get these projects completed. On top of doing these projects he also helps me clean our house (school full time and work full time) and take care of our four year old so I can focus on my studies when I'm not at school. I am definately still smitten by him. :x

My husband's been helping a lot with the household chores. He has rotating days off during the week. And he's been cleaning and cooking for me. He's also served me. It's great! Last night, he helped me with the laundry because I didn't want to have to do it this weekend. I want to get him something to show him I appreciate his help.

Aw, so many sweeties! My husband has been completely top-to-bottom cleaning the house once a week since he has a weekday off, so when I get home from work it's always a surprise! He tackles one big item each week (like cluttered closets) I swear he's the one nesting!

He also seems amazed and in awe of me being pregnant and is so affectionate! I'll be a little sad when that goes away after baby is here!

My husband is pretty awesome too. Makes my lunch everyday to make sure I'm eating right. Rubs my back and feet nightly. Pretty much anything I need. Tells me I'm beautiful everyday. I'm a lucky girl! And I tell him that everyday. ☺️

It seems like my husband has been making a point to make me laugh more often lately. I can get into a "funk" and overwhelm myself now and then and he remembers to say "I love you" more often, or come back for one more
extra kiss before he leaves the room.

The house we rent has two pink bedrooms since our landlord has two daughters, and my husband went out and bought paint to get rid of the Bubblegum pink wall in the room i chose for the nursery. So, now once we get paid we can go buy our lavender paint!

He has so indulged my pizza cravings. We don't eat pizza all the time but this week I've wanted easy meals and I'm sure we've had pizza three times in the last two weeks.

This is such a great thread! My hubby has been great and very loving toward me and out little daughter in my tummy. he is very excited for her to get here and always talks to my belly and kisses it in the morning when he wakes up. He does almost all of the dishes because he knows that's my least favorite chore! He and his mom are going to paint the nursery for me next week. he is just great

Well this literally just happened. Yes, that's my husband running after the ice cream truck for me because my super sensitive pregnant ears picked up the jingle music from inside the house and I couldn't waddle out in just a tank and some old boxers.

Dh has been pretty amazing. Struggled with HG the whole pregnancy. 19 weeks now and he hasn'tonce complained about cleaning up vomit at least once a day almost every day. Has picked up the slack around the house, and has taken me completely off dish duty. Held my hand through all the procedures and misery that has gone with it and not once complained about being tired, not even after 8 or 10 hour ER visits and only getting 2 or 3 hours of sleep before work. As I type, he's hanging new shelving in Baby's closet and washing the walls in the nursery to prep for painting. And he'll still come help me shave my legs when I get in the tub, give me all my shots tonight, and rub my feet, back and hips before bed. Don't know what I would do without that man.
