Small Gestational Sac

My husband and I had our second ultrasound today. I was 9 weeks 1 day and due on 02/08/2016 according to our first ultrasound three weeks ago. According to our ultrasound today the AUA (actual ultrasound age) I am 8 weeks 1 day and due on 02/16/2016. Our baby's heart rate was strong and beating 186 bpm and he or she was wiggling around like crazy! That was all great news, but the doctor was concerned with the size of the gestational sac. He said that it was smaller than normal and that the yolk sac was in an unusual place. Has this ever happened to anyone? How can I ease my anxiety and stress. I am worried about our little peanut and pray that everything will be okay.

Re: Small Gestational Sac

  • I've seen similar posts a lot and only one didn't have a happy ending. One girl, weeks later was then measuring a week ahead! Ultrasounds are pretty subjective, try to think positive and imagine the sac becoming the perfect size. I've had some scares after ultrasounds and so far they've all been just that, scary! But baby's been fine.
