I had my first trimester screening done last week The nuchal translucensy  came back normal but my papp-a and free beta hcg came back low. I am now debating having an amniocentesis done. Has anyone had these results?

  • I would wait until the second trimester scan . A lot of times that changes over time . The same thing happen with me . Stay positive :)

  • I got a low PAPP-A as well but my doctor really wasn't concerned about it.  I'll just be getting more sonograms in the third tri.  Did your doctor recommend an amnio?  I really don't think these numbers warrant it and I would wait for your second tri screening.

  • The DNA-free tests like Harmony are way safer than amnio.  I would ask about those.  I'm not sure why this wasn't suggested to you by your doctor if they were concerned?
