SYMPTOMS, Complaints and QUESTIONS thread 7/8

Again, I just want to make sure that everyone is still okay with trying to have this thread dedicated to the symptom questions, complaints yada yada to help organization? It seems we have a lot of posters that are missing this post (I'm not trying to police I swear) and want to make sure its still wanted. :) Hope everyone has a good day

Re: SYMPTOMS, Complaints and QUESTIONS thread 7/8

  • I'm still not having any symptoms and I'm at week 7!  I mean, sore boobs and extra gas, but no morning sickness or other pain! So I took another test.  Still positive.  Really hoping for a heartbeat at my first US appointment on Monday.  In the meantime, I feel like this:

I'm 6w 2d. No Symptoms here either! Nipples are sore and slightly more tired but that's it. I don't go for an ultra sound until July 30th! Ugh I can't wait. I'll be about 10 weeks then. They have no other earlier openings.

Full blown nausea, wouldn't call it throwing up. Just lots of dry heaving in the morning. My allergies are obviously killing me because it's only mucas and water I throw up (TMI, I know). Other than that, I feel great. Well besides all the normal symptoms.
  • I love this thread, I like posting and reading e/one responses Vs clicking every other random one someone post, much easier.

10 weeks today! 1/4 of the way done, although I will have my C-section at 39 weeks. I am getting to the I just want to eat stage, I got a biscuit this morning and could have ate 2, or 3..... :/ no good. But at least my nausea is better for now!
  • ^^^THIS!!! All this!! Haha
  • Went from exhaustion to unable to sleep. Constipated, nauseas, and low back pain. Really hoping second trimester provides some nausea relief!

@sbegnaud93, pregnancy is so anxiety-provoking, especially after experiencing a loss (not sure if you have or not- it's anxieity-provoking no matter what!) I'm just trying to take it day by day and distract myself as much as possible in between doctor visits. Easier said than done. I just hope I start to feel a bit better once I get past the first tri. Hope you're able to relax a bit, too!

Unfortunately I have experienced a loss just over a year ago. So nerve wracking with this one as well. I thought worrying about one was bad and when we found out we're having twins, I'm even more freaked out. I want them to just be healthy and it's hard to wait to see them again in an ultrasound!
  • 10 weeks today. Woke up with a headache (blah!) We leave in 8 hours for a 35 hour drive and vacation and the pharmacy that had ordered me some preggie pops still has not gotten them in yet (they were supposed to be in Monday). I'm a little nervous about that part. I have not vomited yet today, so that's a plus.

  • @sbegnaud93, I imagine that is even more stressful! Sorry to hear you're so anxious. Sending peaceful vibes your way!
  • The exhaustion/insomnia routine here is unreal and I've more or less stopped speaking aloud because I'm so moody I can't trust myself to not be overly emotional.

You would think between my emotions and the constant queasy sensation I'd have no fear, but my boobs have hurt less over the past 18 hours so I'm suddenly petrified of another loss. I'm so beyond ready to be out of the first trimester.

@thebeggsbunch, I still think the daily symptom threads are a good idea. I agree with you, though, that it seems like they are often being missed and people are still posting 14 threads a day about nausea. I'm with you on not wanting to police, and definitely don't want to make people feel unwelcome, I just get frustrated when I worry that I'm going to miss something important weeding through all of these separate symptom threads. So I'm for it. :)

    Yes. This.

The doctor is really making me realize how unimportant I am now!  After my 3 MC's, I had to come in so many times for blood tests to make sure everything was safe.  After an actual BFP, it was, "Okay, see you in four weeks!"  The waiting has been so difficult.

After some scary spotting, we got to see a very wiggly baby with a healthy heartbeat who is growing right on schedule. Dr found a small subchorionic bleed and said to expect more spotting, but the bleed is small enough it won't likely cause problems. Such a relief! My PGAL brain was certain there would not be a heartbeat today. Not so much a symptom, but I wanted to share the happy news. :D Eta: the right words instead of autocorrect's version
I'm glad you were able to get some relief!

Waaah. I actually feel fine today. But I went to my first appointment today at 9 weeks and they basically didn't do anything! An internal exam. I have to get blood work done somewhere else. And they scheduled my first ultrasound for 2 weeks from now!

    Word.

As for symptoms I pretty much still the same. Had another u/s on Monday. Up until then they had no explanation for all my bleeding. Then Monday they find a small SCH less than a centimeter wide. They go back and reexamine my other scans and discover that the SCH was always there and used to be 14cm. WTF? The NP says "oh yeah that would explain the bleeding." You think? She goes on to say that she thinks we are in the clear now and the bleeding should get better. Just as I start to feel some relief from my anxiety she says, "you know unless you start passing tissue"

  • I was nauseous again last night but I still have not puked yet. I feel like my sinuses are going crazy and it feels like the nausea is stemming from that for some weird reason. I put a breathe right strip on last night before I went to sleep and it seems to have completely cleared up the nausea. I don't want to take it off but I have to go out into public and run errands!

Wish I would've seen this before I stared a new discussion on nausea remedies. Good news is I got great suggestions that are working. Now that that's under control I'll hopefully be a happy camper from now on. *fingers crossed*

Yah this is here everyday ;)
  • The alternating constipation and diarrhea has been awesome to deal with. On top of that I'm super cranky, irritable and tired so I don't want to deal with anyone or anything and that is what I spend all day doing. I don't have major food aversions, I just never want what I have. I normally eat a salad for lunch 4 days a week, lately I've been sneaking into my snack drawer to find something to munch on instead of my salad (today it was a pound of watermelon I brought from home) and throwing my salad away at work so hubby doesn't know I didn't eat it. He does not even remotely understand no matter how many times or ways I try to explain it and I don't want the lecture. I feel bad wasting the food and money but I know it will just create a fight at home that I don't want or need.  Maybe I will start dumping it into the bushes so the animals can eat it.

  • Super nauseous after dinner last night but feeling better today. Just exhausted and getting so bloated, esp by the evening!

@maybebebe I am no expert, but I read that boob soreness only lasts the first few weeks. They'll get bigger and heavier all pregnancy, but they usually stop feeling quite so tender. So hopefully that will give you peace of mind.
  • @maybebebe my boob soreness comes and goes and it really seems to be worse later in the evenings. Im 10w today and its there just not near as bad. I think its normal for all symptoms to come and go! Keep your head up! :)
  • So, last night I went to the March 2016 Mom's board and couldn't realize why I didn't recognize any of the threads....um, is this a pregnancy brain thing that I forgot I am due in February!!!! Duh!!!
  • Can I just say I might die this first trimester. I'm sooo exhausted I feel like I just ran 10k in 5 minutes no joke! my lower back and legs are killing me I have had headaches every single day and today I woke up with joint pain, may I add this is my 4th pregnancy and although I know they are all different neither of my previous have been this bad, other then the usual nausea and sore boobs, Im really hoping it will all go away after thee first trimester is over.

I must have missed this on you, Im sorry your were having bleeding :( I am glad they found that though so that you at least know whats going on. I would have been a little annoyed at the tech that didnt notice it at the first U/S.

  • Yesterday was probably the worst I've felt this entire pregnancy - I didn't hardly get any sleep the night before, had horrible nausea and 2 bouts of vomiting + a raging headache all day. Now today, I feel 1000x better and am only slightly nauseous and very bloated, so bloated - it hurts.

I would rather feel like a bloated cow than any of what I had yesterday, I told my mother and my husband I didn't think I could make it 9 months if it was going to be like that the whole time. I also congratulated my mother on making it the whole 9 months (with all three of us, I have 2 sisters) since she had terrible nausea every single time!

Oh, I sincerely hope so - I am counting down the next few weeks until 2nd tri! My morning sickness magically disappeared around 12 weeks last time, but it was really only in the morning (vomit, and be fine all day) this time around - its all day nausea and I am worried I will have it the whole pregnancy, like my mom did! I know I'm just a whiny baby and need to suck it up though, lol ;)

Nothing has sounded good to eat for the past couple weeks, but for some reason today I want to eat EVERYTHING! (And I have been)
  • My daily nap is not optional. I have never felt so consistently exhausted. And today's came equipped with an extra weird dream! Yay...not.
