I just turned 40 but still feel 39, does that count? My first OB appt is Tuesday, which will be 8 weeks. I'm a chaotic blend of excitement, anxiety, shock and joy.
This is my second pregnancy at 37 years old, but my first pregnancy ended in stillbirth. If I get to take this baby home, I'll be 38 when he/she is born.
I'm 35, will be a 36 y/o FTM when baby arrives. Does that count? My EDD is 2/1. I was supposed to have my first us/appt today but they rescheduled for next Friday. I'll be 8 weeks 4 days then. The wait is killing me!
Good morning all, hope your Fridays are off to good starts! Maybe it's just me but I feel like I have such a different perspective and concerns as an "older" mom...stressing about having a healthy full term pregnancy and then also about my job and how much time I can/should take off. I know it's early to worry about that but what can I say...I'm a planner. Oh and also can I mention I'm getting married in October! This pregnancy was earlier than hoped but I really didn't think it would be "easy" for me to get knocked up. So much for all my planning!
I'm 36 and this is my first. I'm 7 weeks. I went off bc to let my body regulate because I had been on it for so long. Boy did it!! And fast! So, this was a big surprise. We're getting married in Sept. and the wedding was planned well before. We're excited, but I am a little sad I won't be able to "celebrate" at our wedding. Wish you all healthy pregnancies and babies!
I'm 37 and 6 weeks in, first time pregnancy. I was worried it would take awhile but we literally got pregnant the first time after I got my IUD out! Which also makes me nervous because it was like, um...that was too easy. First OB appt on the 29th...
Hi! I am 38 and this is my first pregnancy. I am 5 weeks and have my first OB appointment this coming Thursday. We are very excited, but have the same emotions as I expect most do - excited, scared, nervous....but over all excited!
I am 35 and will be 36 when this little bundle of joy enters the world, around 2/17/16. I am healthy and active, and trying to stop thinking of all that could go wrong and be hopeful about all that could go well! Be well, all future mommies!
I'm 38 and I'm 6 weeks along. I came from the infertility board. We had trouble conceiving after we had a miscarriage last spring (we got pregnant right away !) We did one round of IVF and it worked. Now we are so happy but I'm also so nervous bc this is such a critical time. My first ultrasound is next week.

I am 36 and this is my first time. I'm getting married in October and this was a huge shock! We went off the pill so that my body could regulate and be ready after the wedding...I guess we jumped the gun! Big surprise: )
Baby is due the week of my 36th birthday and this is #2 for us. DS is 20 months. We'd been trying for 6 months and we did one round of Clomid and bingo!
I'm 37 and 6 weeks 4 days and this is my first pregnancy. We got married in January of this year and took our honeymoon during Easter break (I'm on the teacher vacation schedule) which was when we decided we'd officially try to conceive. My first doctor's appointment is Tuesday and I've never been so anxious! I need to hear those words "all is good"!
Hi! I am 36 and this is my first pregnancy. I am 7 weeks and I am worried about a healthy baby. It's so comforting to hear other moms my age and what is going on with you. This first trimester seems to be going by so slow!! But at the same time there is so much planning to do!!
Good morning all! How is everyone doing? Updates on first appointments? I'm having to change OB/Gyns and not looking forward to the struggle to schedule and deal with insurance. Not too many symptoms to report, just constant bloat, fatigue, and sore boobs. Who's with me?
I go in for my first appointment & U/S this Friday. It's still weird to me that the only things saying I'm pregnant (other than various symptoms) are 2 wondfo and 1 FRER pregnancy tests. Can't wait to have visual and real medical confirmation.
And in other news OH MY GOD THE GAS! I spend at least 2 hours of every work day afternoon sitting at my desk trying not to fart. This is my life now.
I am 37 and @8 weeks tomorrow. It is my first, after an early mc 2 years ago. U/s yesterday and so far so good, but I am still being cautiously optimistic.
Hi all! I'm 36 and pregnant for the first time! Had a rough road getting here though...three rounds of ivf and here we are!! Couldn't be more excited, but scared at the same time!! Nice to have the support of others!
I'm 38. I'm 6 weeks 5 days. This is my 4th. I had my first ultrasound today. My little gummy bear is measuring about a week larger than average. Loved seeing that little heart beat.
Hi ladies, how is everyone? Tomorrow is my official first appointment. Fiancée is super excited about the ultrasound, and the fact that as "high risk" we will probably have an ultrasound at every visit. I am dreading all that comes with a doctor appointment...waiting, peeing, poking...ugh. Hopefully everything is on track since we want to tell our parents soon.
Hi all! Just saw this post. Although I will be a STM this time, it's nice to see a thread with a slightly older crowd :-) I'm 36, will be 37 by the time this baby makes the big debut. I'm 8 weeks today but don't have my first appt until next week. Then an u/s at 10 weeks. I can't wait to see this little jumping gummy bear!
38, 8 weeks. Currently freaking out about EVERYTHING. Was expecting to take forever to get pregnant so pleasantly surprised (started trying in Feb/March ish). Waiting for first US and still not totally convinced I'm actually pregnant despite the 9 tests.
I'm 36, first pregnancy after 22 months of trying and 5 cycles of infertility drugs. Success came with letrozole, ovidrel trigger and iui. First ultrasound today, measured 8w1d, heartbeat 151, and everything looking good brings (some) relief! Feel late to the game some days, but all in all, mid 30's seems just right for us!
