I'm sure there are a lot of us on here. Would love to learn more about you all!
I'm 33, got married late last year and we decided to start trying after our most recent vacation in May. We got lucky and will be at 9 weeks on Thursday. As it stands we're due in Feb 2016. We are both planners and avid travelers so we wanted to make sure we got out as much traveling as possible and were in a mental space to be good parents that could support our kids emotionally and financially.
Since I feel like I'm an "older" mom and we know we want 2, I'm already mentally planning for the second because I feel like my time is ticking? I don't know if anyone feels the same.
Re: 1st time moms in their 30's?
I'm 33 and this is my first pregnancy too! Will be 34 when baby comes and my partner will be 31. Most of my friends are having their first or second around this time as well so I don't feel all that far behind. I definitely feel much more prepared and secure in my financial, mental and relationship statuses at this point in my life than I would have 10 years ago. I also think I want 2, but we'll see how this first one goes. The never ending hangover of MS is quite the shocker and I'm not quite sure how I'd cope with a lil one running around too! We had always talked about adopting anyways, so maybe our family will grow that way after baby's arrival.
Anyhow, happy for you all and here for support if you need it
I can honestly say that I am so glad that I didn't get married earlier or start having children earlier for a number of reasons. I feel like the time is more "right" for me now than it ever has been before.
I am also 33 and I will be a first time mommy. I can honestly say I feel like I am at the perfect age. Though my goal in life was to always have kids before 35, to reduce the chances of any complications during pregnancy. I also want two, but not sure how soon we will start on the second.
My husband and I celebrated our 1st year wedding anniversary in April and weren't planning to start until early fall. I started taking prenatal vitamins in May and next thing I know I'm pregnant, currently 7 weeks and we are due in late February.
I would have been scared if I had children in my 20's, I'm finally in a career that I love and that pays well, I would've been struggling a bit. So time was ok my side. Anyway best of luck during your pregnancy.
There is also a Mom's Over 35 forum on this chat site. You should check it out. Lots of specific information about being a little older than other mommies and a lot of shared life situations.
Nice meeting you all!
So nice to meet everyone.
I will be 31 and DH 34 by the time the baby comes and we couldn't be happier. We tried for a little over a year and the timing couldn't be better. Oddly enough, for the area where I live, I am considered a young mom! Fortunately, DH and I are blessed to have very good jobs and while we know you can never prepare enough to have a baby, we feel confident that we are ready.
Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 9 months!

My Chart
My husband and I didn't start trying til we were 30 because we feel that before that is too young. Most of my friends are just getting married, none of my close friends have babies yet.
I am pregnant for the 3rd time but 2nd since I've been married to my DH for 2 years next month.
I am 31 and will be a FTM and DH 28 when baby is born, I'd planned to be married with children by this age but a few years behind on my life goals but everything has its perfect time.
Excited to finally be a mum like I've always wanted and God willing will have 3 or 4 more, I plan for the 2nd one to be close in age like me and my sister are (11 months apart)
Excited and cautiously taking one day at a time since I had a MC in April so this is our rainbow baby due MARCH 2016.
Very happy to be here and a h&h 9 months to us all!
I'm 33 (will be 34 when baby is born and my husband is 35. This will be my first and I am so excited. We were just married May 2015 after being together for 7 years. We knew we wanted to have a baby as soon as possible but I never expected it to happen so quickly. I will be at 6 weeks tomorrow and am due at the end of March. Excited to see so many others on here and congrats to everyone.
I'm 33 and 12 weeks with my first. A few days ago I started cramping and spotting
