Am also wondering this. Am 4 weeks pp and still have about half mine. TMI but I tried to "help them along" and have been bleeding. Still 2 more weeks til my exam, so hoping they will be gone by then and that I didn't mess myself up. Uggghhhh.
@JessHeppell try acupuncture, it works. You can also Google the acupressure points and start pressing on them yourself, but going to someone would be better.
lately, ive started feeling like i dont matter anymore in this, like my comfort holds no value to anyone anymore, im just a vessel for this baby and im supposed to get it out now so everyone can meet it, regardless of how much pain or discomfort it causes me. my last cervical check was a very unpleasant experience, he swept my membranes without my consent and it hurt a lot. i was told that if nothing happens by today then we will look to schedule and induction, and i dont know if i will nees to go in today but if i do i feel i will be given another sweep and its honestly giving me anxiety just thinking about it (like i dont even want to call the drs office) and DH is just saying "well its for your safety"
my sister keeps telling me i should be having sex to get things going (i swear she wont leave me alone about this baby, telling our mom how tired she is of waiting and whatnot) because thats what put her into labour supposedly (she had sex 2 days before her water broke) but she doesnt seem to care about how painful it would be for me, sex has been uncomfortable since the beginning of the 3rd trimester almost, im just want too uncomfortable down there. nobody seems to care anymore and its making me feel like complete crap.
@JessHeppell big hugs, lady. >:D< I know it frustrated me when I was a week overdue and everybody and their mom were up in my space about when was I gonna have that baby? I also felt that nobody gave a crap about me other than a conveyance for a baby, and that I was worthless otherwise. Its *real* annoying. Sorry they swept your membranes too, without your permission. That's a dick move.
Hope you get going here pretty soon, gal! If not, inductions aren't that bad (at least, mine wasn't), so just try to let these stupid people roll off your back and try not to worry. ❤
@JessHeppell I'm so sorry people are being like that! I know I was ready to cut off contact with the world near the end and I didn't even have people being all that bad. Thinking good comfort and delivery thoughts for you!!

i feel like this thread is turning into my own special snowflake thread finally i get one. its weird how real its starting to feel. like.. holy shit this is going to happen. currently just feeling really hungry. also was texting my sister and i jokingly said i should keep a tally of how many different people stick their fingers inside me tomorrow :> so if i remember to i will.

I love your attitude. You will do great tomorrow. Good luck and remember it will all be worth it when you meet your LO. And for the hungry part, eat everything in sight now and sneak some food in for tomorrow. Still so hungry. . . And LO is 6 weeks tomorrow!
Does anyone else feel or felt PP that all of their joints hurt? Like I'm getting a taste of being an old timer and saying I can tell its going to rain soon because of my arthritis. No joke, it seems like most of my moveable parts just ache. A lot.
@mellymar Yes, my joints feel very sore! To the point that yesterday I googled how long the relaxin hormone stays in the body because I still feel like my pelvic joints are SO loose and achy. My upper body also aches, but I think that's from the tension of holding, feeding, rocking, bouncing a LO all day long.
Oh, and by the way, the source I found said relaxin can be in the body up to about 5 months after pregnancy! Nuts. No thanks.
6 days pp, and I have to say, up until yesterday, I felt AMAZING. It was my second birth, and labor was pretty brutal (when I began to crown, I rolled over and tried to climb up the back of the bed like I was running away from my own Virginia and ended up delivering in my side with my whole support team holding my left leg in the air) but I had no tearing, no obvious hemorrhoids, ave all the discomfort and pain of pregnancy was just gone. But then, I developed bronchitis. And I discovered that I'm not fully emptying my bladder.... So, I can go to the restroom, then sit down to nurse, cough, and flood my pad.... Also, I've apparently not been staying hydrated enough, yesterday I woke up with a splitting headache that I couldn't shake off. I slept most of the day, forgot to eat, and by the end of the day, my blood pressure was sky high she my brains still hurt.... Then I ate and drank and suddenly was a whole new woman. So today, I'm up early making coffee and breakfast and drinking water and trying to make better choices.... And I realize that I've coughed so much this week that I NOW have a hemorrhoid. wah!

Ugh... my symptom right now is wanting to have sex with my husband. Lol. My labor went so well and I've had such a quick recovery. I know I have to wait the full 6 weeks but it's hard. Lol. I may be just a bit crazy. Lol.
Second symptom is sore nipples from baby girl.
Also my feet are finally going down on swelling but my left top of my foot feels so sore. Almost like broken bones on the top of my foot and a burning/stinging sensation.
