I love cuddle time with our almost 3 year old son and our twin girls. It's so fun to cuddle them. I'm super thankful for an amazing husband! He's my rock, and I don't think I could do this without him. He's so good with all the kids and so hands on. I'm also thankful God has blessed me with the ability and supply to breastfeed the twins. I really didn't know if I'd have enough milk, but I do! Super thankful!
Thankful for my wonderful fiancé! He took today off to just be with me. We are inducing tomorrow and have family coming into town so I'm really excited to spend one last day just the two of us!
Thankful that even having LO at 36 weeks and her only weighing 4lbs 11oz at birth that we never had to have her in the nicu and that she is so perfectly healthy. Counting our blessings
Thankful for my DH who attends to my every need without complaint. He does so much for me, even while not pregnant. And doesn't say too much when I'm doing stupid things.
I'm grateful that I finally got my gauze woven wrap on today with no help from DH. So freeing!! I'm also glad for perfect baby weather all day here lately. He's also gaining weight and should hit 8 lbs in about another week.
So thankful for my big, healthy baby boy, my awesome husband, who consistently helps and is always willing to let me step out for a bit when he gets home. Finally, I'm thankful for the amazing mom I had. Even though she's no longer on earth with us, I sense her presence daily as I take care of my son, and I see her coming out in me. I learned how to be a mom through watching her mother me, and I hope I can be half the mom she was!
Thankful for my amazing 2 yr old DS and his incredible patience with me (and DH) as we attempt to navigate our new role as parents to 2 (which is saying a lot given the colic we've been dealing with with our precious DD)
Thankful for DH and his incredibly flexible job. We started the weekend off wi6a pitcher of margaritas and a nap and having time for just us makes me feel important and more than just a mom.
Thankful the transition for DS and the dog has been relatively easy.
Thankful for this board and all of you to have a safe place to vent. I just hope I've helped others as much as I have received! Keep it up mamas! We're all doing great!
I'm so thankful for a healthy baby girl, who has been cluster feeding for the last couple of days thus giving me the opportunity to get comfortable BF while tasking. I have now fed her while eating three meals (family dinner being two of them), making coffee, attending to DS's needs, and going to the bathroom bc I couldn't wait (sorry LO). This opportunity provided me with some comfort/confidence in the days to come and the reality of having to take care of two kids for 9 hours a day by myself. We'll find our groove...it's just that change is scary.
Also thankful for DH who has been (mostly ) supportive during this transition. His patience is what is key. I'm doing my best not to micro manage and to let him parent how he sees fit. Thankful that we can be flexible in our relationship as partners and parents. And have forgiveness for when we sometimes forget how to act with grace.
Thankful for you ladies. I have had more time to read than post lately, so I'm grateful for you all and your support and wisdoms.
I am thankful that despite dd diagnosis she is relatively healthy. She gained almost 2 lbs since birth which puts her in 90th percentile for weight and grew 2 inches since birth so 75th percentile for height. They do use a different growth chart for her because downs children don't grow as big. But still pretty proud of myself and her.
Missed this yesterday, but I'm thankful to have been discharged from the hospital with a healthy, beautiful little girl. I'm thankful the staff was wonderful and our recovery is going smoothly!
thankful that baby decided to stay in during the week the weather passed 100 degrees. and thankful that i live so close to the grocery store cause i would not be able to get groceries if it wasnt right across the street.
Re: Thankful Thursday!
And cuddles with my little guy. They are amazing!
Thankful to be somewhat close to my family to see them, or bring LO to my mom when I just need a second to breathe.
Thankful that even with issues with mastitis, thrush, cracked ass nipples, scabs, and pain that LO is able to gain tons of weight (oink).
Thankful for a DH who comes home from a crazy day of work to love on me & LO.
& lastly, thankful for friends who drop by with food & treats for momma!!
Also for DH, who put his career on hold to stay home with us. He nourishes us with three healthy meals a day.
Grateful for a boss who told me 8 years ago to save my sick time, so now I have a long, paid maternity leave.
Grateful for the support and wisdom you ladies share with me here every day.
Wishing all of you and your LOs continued blessings xo
