Sending RE birth announcement...what should I write?

Silly question I know.  We haven't had any contact with him since I changed to OB at 8 weeks (maybe a bit sooner than that).  I wanted to send him a birth announcement.  For the life of me I can't figure out what to write inside.  How do you properly thank someone for helping you create a new life??

I want a quick but meaningful message...

"We thank you from the bottom of our hearts"

Any other ideas?

Re: Sending RE birth announcement...what should I write?

  • I wrote something to the effect that we know our beautiful son wouldn't be possible  without their help and we wanted to thank them from the bottom of our hearts for their role in our lives.  I wrote more, but mainly just telling them how positive our experience with them was.
Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever! • I'm not at that point yet (obviously!), but we did send our RE a short note at Christmas, wishing him Merry Christmas and thanking him for the role he played in getting us this far.

We also thanked them for taking such wonderful care of us and told them that they spoiled us (compared to the nurses/receptionist/etc. at our OB office). I even mentioned my two favorite nurses by name. I figure they deserve credit too!

After 20 months, 3 Clomid cycles and 4 IUI cycles, IVF #1 with ICSI = BFP!
