What do you wear to bed? Bra related-

What kind of night nursing bra do you wear? I can't just wear tanks to bed bc I leak and the pads don't stay in my tanks after long. Any recs?

Re: What do you wear to bed? Bra related-

  • I have a Medela night nursing bra. Not much support, but it's cool and keeps pads in place. I also have a cheapy sleep bra from Walmart that I like. All-elastic sports bras would work, too, I just don't fit in any of mine right now.

  • I wear nursing bras I got from motherhood maternity. They are like sports bras and I wear nursing pads all day and night. It's super comfy
  • Wait I got a few sports bra type nursing bras from target too!

Following.is anyone getting nipple thrush? I'm changing my pads now almost hourly except for night time but I'm leaking that much they r constantly damp, more I pump the more I make the more I leak.. Argh!
  • I need to change my pads more for my thrush I'm really bad about it. I only leak a few drops a when I let down but I definitely need to change them.

Nursing bras are the bane of my existence. I have been trying to find good ones since pregnancy and they're all terrible. They don't go with real clothes or are impractical (how are padded cups supposed to unclip down to feed?) or cut off my ducts and give me lumps. I've probably tried every brand and type and have like...2 I like. UGH.

  • I wear nursing camis to bed from Motherhood. During the day, I've been wearing maternity brad from Kohls. Had to order them online, but they were reasonably priced and are pretty comfy.

Sorry for the 2 posts in a row. I've been wearing the sports bras from motherhood maternity daily. It's not ideal but I get milk all over the regular nursing bras.
  • I have nursing bras from Macy's & wear organic cotton washable pads during day. At night I wear regular sports bras & lanolin gel pads. I put the gel pads in the fridge during the day & they feel so good to wear.
  • I wear like a sports bra, but they are for nursing and an undercover mama tank top.

I second this. Madela is pricey but amazing.
  • I got a Jessica Simpson nursing bra from Motherhood Maternity, it's sooo comfy! I will wear it even after I'm not breast feeding/pumping!
  • My current problem with sports bras and nursing tanks is that the cups are too small in the body size I need so they cut off the flow on the side of my boobs near the armpit and give me giant blocked ducts. I need like a medium body with large cups. I don't know I gave up....

I bought 2 nursing tanks from Target I LOVE, but then same brand-same size of the sleep bras & they're too small!! :-?
Ugh. I think I'll make a trip to Motherhood next week to get measured & buy 2 get 1 free. 3 week PP should have them settled enough for a decent sizing, right? Haha
  • I tried sleeping in a nursing bra with pads in (because I leak a lot during feeding sessions) but it only took about a week of that before I was sick of the hassle of trying to cram everything back into place afterward (and sick of how messy the bra itself would get with LO being so messy) and just started sleeping topless with a towel under me. Life is so much easier now....
  • I do the same thing.
  • Shirtless..
  • Shirtless, well a cardigan unbuttoned if I need warmth
  • I got the cheapy sports bras at Walmart for sleep. Super cheap and comfy and easy access as they are stretchy for night time feeding.

  • I wear either a nursing tank or nursing nightgown I got at motherhood maternity. I also typically wear the tanks during the day, unless I'm heading out in public, in which case I have several of their bras. I put nursing pads in everything...I don't leak too much but I found that if I don't wear the pads my nipple cream causes stains.

Love Gilligan and O'Malley (target) night nursing bras!

@dancegurl1118 in addition to changing pads have you tried rubbing white vinegar (diluted in water) to your nipples after feedings? My LC had me do that as a preventative measure when I was on antibiotics recovering from mastitis and I never developed a yeast problem.
