Hello from the Aug.15 board!

Hello ladies! My due date has always been Aug.11th but today after my checkup my doctor now thinks the baby may come up to 2 weeks early! So I just want to introduce myself. My name is Marissa, I am 28 years old and I live in NJ. This is my first baby, and its a boy! I hope to get to know some of you ladies, I have heard good things about this board from some of the August mama's!

    Hi!! Hope your doc is right, it is tough in the bitter end of pregnancy. I would love mine to come early! But now I'm scheduled for a c section so I don't want to go into labor before that!

    how funny! i'm a Jersey Girl too! born in Red Bank, raised in Howell too! and been living in Point Pleasant for the last few years. Did you go to Howell High School? i graduated 03'.
    i'm a STM due with my second son on July 27th. welcome!

    I went to freehold Township and Graduated in '05! I worked in red bank for a while at No joes Café. lol. Small world :)

    haha! You found me! Yeahhh didn't want to make a big stink about it on the Aug board until I knew for sure (ill know for sure after my u/s next week) but my doctor is banking on this baby coming a little early. Not a huge surprise with the whole cervix thing. As long as he makes it full term I am a happy momma :)

    I'm just the opposite. I used to be a shore girl. I was born and raised in Atlantic City. I moved to North Jersey in 2001 when I went to college and stayed here.

    Hello! Congrats on baby,
    We are awesome people here :) not to brag.
    I had my baby June 25th, 3 weeks early. But I didn't want to leave my July mama's as I have spent 9 months here and learning there stories and relying on there support. I truely get so excited when I see another one of these ladies welcome a beautiful baby.
    I hope you get to meet yours soon(ish) he needs to be healthy :)

    This is so true. There are some snarky rude women on the August board. I am due Aug. 11th but I have been told by my doctors I will deliver early due to complications. So I came over to the July and I am so glad I did.

    Welcome! I hope your baby is early... I was told from 34 weeks ours would be early. Now close to 39! All packed and teady to go... Just need a baby! :)

    Stick up for them if you like but it isn't true they are coming from a good place. I have not personally been attacked by them but I have seen it with almost every post on the August Board. I am glad you feel supported over there but that isn't the case for many woman over there. Abuse has been reported on many of them multiple times and A LOT woman don't even go on that board anymore because of them. There was a whole thread about this on another board. Either way since I have moved to July I have felt more comfortable. And I appreciate the maturity of the ladies over here.

    I should stop by to say hi. :) it's possible I will go early as well. Due August 18, August 11 by edc on ultrasounds and length, but high risk due to a LEEP. Pretty much a ticking time bomb :)

    I have to agree with most of you on the whole snarky ladies thing in August. I get keeping it real or whatever, but being rude and snarky isn't always the best option. I hated that about the August board myself, but just kept out of the drama. I do have a few ladies who I love to enjoy reading their posts.. But never found any real kindred spirits unless you happened to be rude or snarky for pure enjoyment. And by the OP of this thread going over to the A15 board and posting a link to this thread about how everyone thought we were negative, proves that everyone is right about our board for that reason.

    Anyway.. I'll know more by Tuesday what my chances of being a July mom will be! I'm from Florida, and would much rather live in Tennessee :) STM. Team pink (round 2!). Currently working on my BA degree from Flagler. Married for 3 years.

    Hey now, I didn't say everyone. I was referring only to the ladies (who were once on the Aug board) that made the comments about Aug.15 having a this reputation of being mean girls. And not just on this board, other boards as well according to them. If you read my comments you can see I said that all of the July ladies were very welcoming and nice to me and I have heard nothing but great things about July.
