I'm having weird pain in my stomach/abdomen area and have not felt baby move today I'm almost 19 weeks and just heard the heartbeat yesterday. My doctor said I might have a bladder infection could that be causing the pain?

    Could be! My best advice though is to call her office if you are unsure---I would hate for us to offer the wrong information if something were wrong!

    Agree with PP. Always call if you are worried. You can try drinking something with sugar in it and laying down to see if that wakes baby up. Bladder infections can hurt badly though. I used to get them when I was younger and they were brutal. I hope if your doctor thinks you might have one that he/she is planning on finding out for sure. They are not to be left alone, as they can turn into kidney infections pretty quickly.

    I'm hoping that you're investigating further with your doctor. Because there isn't much we can say for sure as to what is causing your pain. But I want to echo PP in that if it is a bladder infection you need to be getting that treated quickly. It escalates rapidly, and I know you don't want that! Nip it in the bud as soon as the problem is suspected.
