I am so guilty of that, too! @ohbaby714

I haven't been up long, so give me a few, and I may have something to post. My hormones haven't gotten the best of me yet. :P

  • I don't wash my face every day. I actually don't even have a special face wash or anything, I just rinse it every time I shower. I realized this might be odd when there was a thread about face wash a few days ago. I tend to break out more when I do try to have a specific face routine, for whatever reason. So I just ignore it (other than to apply sunscreen) and it stays clear 99% of the time.

So jealous. If I did that I would be a walking zit.

  • @HBirdie I'm the same way. I use face wash maybe twice a week. If I use it every day, my skin gets dry. Unless I'm hot, I hate splashing water on my face, so I usually just use make up remover or those Neutrogena wipes.

    My FFFC:
I clean my house way less than I should. We're not super messy. Things are generally tidy...sort of. But I clean the bathrooms maybe once every 6-8 weeks, and I vacuum our carpets even less. I try for once a month, but rarely achieve that goal. These things may demand more attention with kids around, though.

Me too!! Glad I'm not the only one. It's just us 2, so it doesn't get that dirty so fast, but something to work on for when baby comes
  • I throw up most days with morning sickness. But sometimes I spend far more time in the bathroom just to have some alone time than I actually need. DH and DS just piss me off to no end some days. I take deep breaths and throw a smile on for DS, DH not so much.

We drove 40 miles one way yesterday to buy a donut. I generally don't even like donuts or sweets. What is going on here?!

  • I had a hell of a time trying to get my u/s yesterday. I scheduled an appt at the wrong location and they wouldn't take me when I showed up. My DH is VERY well connected at that hospital because he worked in finance and called in a favor to get me in. I was crying when I was trying to explain to the lady my situation and then I was a little embarrassed that my husband made one phone call and we were moved to the top of the list. I felt like a special snowflake.

  • Oh yeah, I should add that I very rarely wear makeup, maybe a few times a month. And even then I only wear mascara and eyeliner. So I have nothing to wash off every night.

This is a totally legit routine called Caveman! It's supposed to be better for your skin because it lets the acid mantle do its work naturally. See thelovevitamin.com.

@HBirdie same here. For all of it. I only rinse my face with water, I mostly only rinse my body with water, if not an unscented vegetable glycerin soap, and I don't use shampoo. I wash my hair every 2-4 weeks with either egg yolks or bentonite clay. I swear I don't stink. Using commercial hygiene products perpetuates the stink. I always smell worse the day after I use soap.

I'm crunchy and proud of it!

Eta: I was NOT blessed with beautiful skin. I have terrible acne scars from high school and college. It's possible I just grew out of it, but it's also suspicious timing that when I switched to water only, my skin got better. I actually get compliments now (from friends and family, a stranger would never compliment my skin- the scars are bad). But I don't tell people my routine so I do like to think it's genuine.

  • I only rinse my face with water too, I hate soap on my face (I even hate just getting my face wet). I'm not so crunchy to not use shampoo/conditioner, but I do use homemade soap!

  • I'm 24, but people are always commenting that I look much younger. It gets kind of annoying and I'm insecure about it; I know it's silly. I'm afraid of the looks I'll get from people assuming I'm a teen mom. I would never look down on someone who was in that situation; I know things happen. But I live in a small town where people can be judgmental and have nothing better to do than gossip. I want to be proud to show off my baby bump (when I get one), but I can't help dreading those looks I'll get from the old ladies at the grocery store.

I felt the same way with my first child. I was 25 but people assumed I was much younger. I was worried about the comments but I actually never had any. I was prepared with some come backs just in case but never needed them. Hopefully you don't have any either.

  • I have never had professional pictures taken of my son. When he was born it wasn't in the budget after paying for the delivery, when he was a little older he was a difficult infant so it was all I could do to function during the day and then it just never happened. It would have been nice but I don't regret it.

  • @NoelBird That makes me feel better! I'm glad I'm not the only one ☺
  • I don't care if the noobs post multiple threads every day about the same dumb symptoms. I just don't care. I've been around TB for 3 1/2 years, and I've always been more irritated with an extreme need for board organization that duplicate posts. Flame away! ;) Edit-format was weird
I used to be like this (to some extent I still am) but the organization is nice, I think. I don't really care about multiple symptom/SS threads, what bugs me are duplicates of the exact same questions over and over again (like, "Exercising while pregnant?!?!"). I lurked in some other BMBs and saw that they get really really militant about board organization and flame newbies for not using the search function, which is lame. I think we've struck a pretty good balance here... we redirect threads but no one's been a jerk about it. :)

I totally get this and can pretend I feel the same way, BUT... It still irks me when I've answered the question before and know they can go looking and find a wealth of information from so many with the same experience! It's as though my controlling personality both pities them and wants to fix the problem so that I don't have to see them hanging out there in the wind all confused and awkward.

I have to agree with you here. I mean, we all have very similar symptoms and a post is made every day for you to talk about how you're feeling. Post it there!  Also, the lucky few who aren't having symptoms who are freaking out. Hello lucky! lol Maybe that's just me though.

ETA: I guess I misunderstood your post. I can get over some of the multiples (especially when the original is pages and pages back, but the symptom stuff is annoying to me.

You just have to be the better person and give them a look back of confidence. I deal with this all of the time... I look way younger than I am too.It gets super frustrating sometimes but you know you're a good mom and how old you are
  • The kids wanted to wipe our whole house with wet rags today. I definitely saw some suspicious cross contamination situations but turned my head because they were happy and leaving me alone. I'm pretty sure my daughter wiped the window, then toilet lid, then her face. I just don't care.

Also, DS snuck 3 Oreos for breakfast. It wasn't worth the fight. I feel like crap these days.

I'm the same with face wash and no makeup for me! If I go out at night I might wear some but that's it.

I used to get this A LOT! I look really young for my age and I was afraid people would think I was a teen mom too. But actually after having kids, no one says anything any more. My mom always told me "be glad you look young! You'll love it later!" Ya except I hate when people think I'm 16 when I'm really 25. People think my sister and I are twins alot and she is 7 years younger than me....

We didn't get professional newborn pics of my twins because we didn't have the money. My husband took some that are nice but the babies were a little too old and would NOT cooperate. Im actually really sad that I didn't just splurge and get the prof pictures. Nothing I can do about it now! But I'm definitely getting some done for this baby!

  • My DH took off of work today, and while I love having him home with us, it totally throws off my entire day/schedule with DS. With the hormonal swings I'm having between this pregnancy and breastfeeding, I have been more than a little irked today.
  • I've spent my entire day pinning adorable crochet patterns for bean. Since I'm not going to be able to wait until I know baby's sex, I'm going to start making little hats and booties shamelessly and the "wrong" ones will be given as gifts...unless they're really cute, then I'll save for a hopefully opposite sex sibling. Oh, all of this when I should have been doing homework.
  • SIL wants to throw me a baby shower for this one. I am over the moon excited. No shame. It's #3, only one to be team green, about 2 1/2 years younger than #2. I don't plan on registering or anything but god... I am so excited to have a "real" shower/sprinkle. To relax and enjoy my baby and my pregnancy. To have a break from my older kids and hubs, a day about me and little fox. Very traditional.

Don't get me wrong, super grateful for our family and friends and their overwhelming generosity but my shower (with my first, nothing for my second) sucked. My MIL "threw" it a.k.a. put her name on the invites and handed money to me to buy decor etc. So I did everything and it was exhausting. The day came and I was there before MIL to set up, she hid in the kitchen the entire time so I was the only host. I sat down once the entire time, to open gifts. I didn't even get to eat ANYTHING, food or cake, until after most people left. I was completely beat and overwhelmed. It was also HUGE and co-ed (per DH). So yeah, no shame, totally excited.

  • I also want to go all out with this one... s/he will be my last (99% sure). All the things I haven't done with my other 2, maternity pics, newborn pics, I'm totally buying a cute and comfy birthing gown (even though they're completely ridiculous and a waste of money), I want L&D pics/video and newborn pics. I don't want to regret not doing all that stuff.

  • I'm hungry all the damn time. I gained over 50 lbs with my last pregnancy and my son was almost 9lbs. I'm usually petite and I lost the baby weight easily. I'm trying to be more conscious about my weight gain this pregnancy but I'm freaking hungry! And part of me really doesn't give a shit lol. I had a healthy pregnancy last time despite my weight gain and so far so good this time around. That being said, I've already gained 7lbs and I'm only 9 1/2 wks in. =P~

Everytime I see a new one I just think "for real?!" And curse.

For now it's pointless I feel because it's going to happen constantly with sooooo many drive bys. When we are all further along there should be less drive bys daily and it won't happen as often
  • I've taken a nap with dd almost everyday this week. Today especially i had to nap, idk what in going to do tomorrow when people are here and I'm falling asleep
