My son is four weeks old today. He's done great with nursing my only concern is he's spitting up especially the last few days it seems to be more. My older three never spit up so I'm semi clueless. I burp him, keep him elevated after. And another concern that my other three never had an issue with is poop. Little man doesn't go everyday and you can tell he's trying to go but nothing. Not sure if its something I'm eating keeping him backed up or if its normal. I'm used to babies pooping a few tines a day especially breastfed babies.
I've been doing a lot of pumping and it's been uncomfortable. A friend recommended "pumpin pals" so I ordered a set. I'm now in love with my pump. I'm getting the same amount in half the time and it's way more comfortable! Here's all the info. They have a money back guarantee so if you're not sure you like your pump it might be worth a try for you. https://www.pumpinpal.com/index.htm
Does anyone know, can breast milk go back in the fridge after being warmed up?
I just read this yesterday, and I'm tired now so I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like the answer is no. Once its warmed up it has to be used, but I think it is still good for 3-4 hours? So you may be able to use it next feeding? Edited spelling

I read that if you bring it to room temp, you have 6-8 hours, even if you then re-refrigerate it. I don't know what the deal is if you actually warm it though. I'm giving 1 or 2 bottles today so when i know the bottle is my next feed I'm going to stick it on the counter so that i can warm it quickly before using it.
How long does it take for your supply to increase if you are pumping to augment supply? I kinda thought that it light be a small, incremental thing... That every pump you'd get a smidge more, and a smidge more... But that is not happening. I am holding steady at such a paltry amount per pump that I'm now hoping that its like - bam! Suddenly I'm pumping double after some magical quantity of time has elapsed.

My LO is 4 days old now and I'm breastfeeding. My milk came in the day after she was born. I'm having major issues with engorgement. She nurses for about 10 minutes each feeding every 2 hours some times for 5 every 1 or so. I've read where I shouldn't pump because it can make the engorgement worse but I also read that my supply can get messed up if I don't empty my breasts. I have also tried every thing for relief but they are so big and hard still. Help anyone!

Just keep feeding LO on demand.. It will even out. You want to keep the milk moving to avoid problems so you may need to pump a bit.. And store it!

I've been dealing with the same thing. Just feed on demand at the moment, your body will start to regulate itself. If you're having problems with latching because your breasts are too hard, it's really helpful to express off a bit pre feeding (I just hand express) - enough to soften all around your areolas. Block feeding (instead of alternating breasts, feed from the same side 2 or 3 times I a row) did help with engorgement but it definitely majorly reduced my milk supply (not necessarily a bad thing but I stopped doing it as LO was draining most of both sides in one feed) so I wouldn't do it until breast feeding is firmly established and only then if really necessary. In terms of relieving discomfort, when it was really bad I would have a warm shower and hand express a bit off then follow with cold water. I would advise to watch got blocked milk ducts (at one stage half my breasts were not draining properly due to engorgement) and if milk is emptying from parts of your breasts try massaging them while LO feeds.
