What's new with baby: size of poppy seed?
What's somthing new you are doing to get ready for baby? Going to my dr today- guessing she will do a test to confirm?
Rants/raves/symptoms: my boobs are super sore, no other symptoms yet except maybe trouble sleeping but that could just be the nerves/excitement.
Questions for the group: obviously I'm going to ask my dr today, but wondering if anyone else has had light pink/brown spotting even after their bfp? I've read this can mean nothing but it's totally freaking me out.
GTKY: I'm making this fruit plate for a BBQ tomorrow- will prob have my 3 yo niece help me.

What's new with baby (size, development): Today (not two days ago!) the node formed that will eventually be Poppyseed's brain and spinal column. The folic acid is super important right now!
What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Hmmm I have done a lot today. I called the Dr and have a phone appt on Monday with him to find out next steps. I got some pregnancy bras off of Amazon (they are so much more comfy for my sore boobs!) and a pregnancy journal. I start back to work on Tuesday so I'm just enjoying my last few days of freedom
Rant/rave/symptoms: My boobs are sore and are getting Montgomery tubercles. I have been having really bad headaches but I think that is because I have stopped caffeine. I've also become a total space cadet lately!
Questions for the Group: none
GTKY: Share a BBQ recipe... main, starter, mocktail
We aren't doing barbecue for our party tonight but I am making from scratch strawberry shortcakes. I have also blended down some strawberries with sugar lemon and water to make ice cubes for lemonades. DH is dealing with all the liquor for the night (though I should as I used to be a bartender). I can't wait for people to come around, I have completely gone overboard with decorations
LFAF September Siggy Challenge
What's new with baby (size, development): The whole baby is new! Poppyseed...
What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Made an appointment with my OB and emailed my midwife. I'll stop by our daycare to secure a spot later today. I was going to get my bloodwork done (routine thing here), but the GP's office is closed for some exceptional reasons?
Rant/rave/symptoms: I'm pregnant!!!! How's that for a rave? I'm not sure if it's the pregnancy yet, but I'm SO hungry. I've been hungry for the last couple of days now, it reminds me of my first pregnancy.
Questions for the Group: Pregnancy apps... I think you discussed them recently? Any good ones out there? I've heard about one with a daily update?
GTKY: Share a BBQ recipe... main, starter, mocktail: Main: Salmon papillote (wrap them in foil with some veggies, like cherry tomatoes, olives and capers), starter: bread with garlic butter, mocktail: this one:
What's new with baby (size, development): we got intestines and blood vessels
What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: the never ending check list continues... mostly cleaning/DIY etc before I get too big/start school again
Rant/rave/symptoms: crampy pains again... always make me nervous. Also my appetite comes and goes, don't want anything then want to eat everything in site!
Questions for the Group:
GTKY: Share a BBQ recipe... main, starter, mocktail I love to mix fruit juices with soda water to make my own flavours... I also love to do this with kombucha. 1:3 ratio or a bit less depending on strength.
What's new with baby (size, development): cute little poppyseed
What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: nothing in particular
Rant/rave/symptoms: nausea is not my friend

What's new with baby (size, development):
Little Apple seed
What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby:
Trying to plan out how to conceal our pregnancy until after our appointment on the 21st. Usually it is not that hard because we don't live near family. But we will be spending the next 2 weeks with my inlaws and I think the Jo caffeine and wine might make them suspicious.
Rant/rave/symptoms: I have had a cold all week and I think I overdid it yesterday when I felt a little better. Not feeling so hot this morning.
Questions for the Group: n/a

I love fresh spring rolls. Rice wraps, vermicelli noodles, basil, shredded cucumbers and shredded carrots. So easy then just some sweet chili sauce for dipping!
What's new with baby (size, development): Poppyseed!
What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Just looking at tidying up and getting rid of old junk! We are house-hunting, so I am excited to toss a bunch of STUFF and try living a more minimalistic lifestyle pre-baby. Anyone else doing this? Anyone else house-hunting / moving while pregnant? Would love advice/tips/rants/etc!
Rant/rave/symptoms: We've only told my parents, my brother and sister, and DH's sister. Going to dinner with my BFF tonight and I'm so thrilled to tell her! We've been BFF for almost 10 years now! So she's known me since I was 16 and dating my first boyfriend. Whew, time flies...
Questions for the Group: Any runners in the group? I'm getting back into training for two half-marathons this fall, so I'm curious to see if anyone else has any races on their calendars!
GTKY: Share a BBQ recipe... main, starter, mocktail: We are pescetarians, so we love grilling really good veggie burgers! For a starter, a unique cheese platter is always a hit with our friends and family. And I would make myself a Dark 'N Stormy, minus the rum. Ginger beer and fresh lime juice over ice!
Little aches and slight pains- hopefully growing pains
What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: using stain remover on my older DS'S baby clothes so I can put them out of storage into the closet until we find out the gender.
Rant/rave/symptoms:
rant: i can't keep a secret. I've told several people already that I wasn't planning to.

I like BBQ corn. Just rub the spices on and grill. Not big on Bbq, though.
What's new with baby (size, development): Hopefully s/he is settling in and growing!
What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Starting to think about how to rearrange our rooms/house for the new baby.
Rant/rave/symptoms: Love that our grocery bill is significantly lower with neither of us drinking (DH gave up beer last month).
Questions for the Group: Not today.

Making kalua pig for the 4th (also my mom's bday). Recipe looks way too simple, going to serve it with macaroni salad or cole slaw on Hawaiian rolls.
What's new with baby (size, development): Appleseed!!!
