noooooo. Im so sorry! I agree with PP, its hard to see a regular poster leave. Im so so so sorry and FX, prayers, positive thoughts for you and your family.
I went out of town last week and just found this. I'm so, so sorry @magnumJ. Will definitely miss you on this board. Hope to still see you around the other place. Hugs!
Hi ladies- I hope you are all doing well! I would have updated sooner, but I had to do two rounds of Cytotec this week and it kicked me on my ass. <br>
Basically, this is what happened with me:
I had a very very small amount of brown spotting around 4 weeks - nothing concerning or alarming. Especially because I had a lot of symptoms. I had a dating US at 5w5d and the baby had a low heart rate, but it was still in the normal range. Once again, not alarming and I still had symptoms. We went back for a follow up US two weeks later to discover that the baby stopped growing the day after the first US. <br>
DH and I are both very scientific, rational people and realize that the pregnancy just wasn't viable and the baby likely had a chromosomal disorder that would have caused a miscarriage regardless. There isn't anything we could have done differently.
As it was was a missed miscarriage, I chose to take cytotec to get things started. The first dose didn't work, so I had to take another. That really sucked. <br>
That's pretty much my story, and I'm sure none of that is very comforting. BUT I have a healthy, happy 13 month old. Withher, other than some light brown spotting early on, I had a normal, healthy, textbook pregnancy. I know the cramping and spotting seems concerning, but some spotting or bleeding occurs in 20% or healthy normal pregnancies. And cramping, while it seems concerning, is entirely normal. Unless it's enough to knock you on your ass (like labor pains) I wouldn't be too worried. Most OBs have an on call nurse that you can call if you ever have any concerns and I highly recommend taking advantage of that <br>
We're probably going to wait until September to start trying again; we wanted closer to a two year age fap, so things will be just fine. And I loved having a late spring baby no having all summer off <br>
I'm happy to answer any pregnancy or miscarriage related questions if you want to reach out or tag me and I'm sure I'll be checking in on you occasionally <br>
H&H 9 months to you all I really enjoyed my time here and I'm glad I got to know you. Even the salty, snarky ladies (mah peeps!). You know who your are. <br>
And sorry for any typos/grammar/formatting issues. It's 2:30 AM and I'm up with a teething toddler (molars blow!) and my iPad is being a little bitch
ETA: fuck this big wall of text. Thank god i remember some basic html which sort of fucking worked.
ETAA: And for all of you wondering how my MIL did, DH broke the news and asked the ILs to give us some space. I haven't heard from her in over a week and it's been glorious! Silver lining it a pretty dark, shitty cloud.
@magnumJ thank you so much for sharing your story. You are amazing and we all miss you SO much. I'm very sorry for this loss. Please keep us updated on how things are going with you- I'll be keeping my fx for September . Wishing you some relief from your teething toddler (and hope toddler gets some relief too!!). Creepy hugs to you!!!!!!
