  • Loading the player...
  • The post that is currently right below your own that says "kicks down there" is about this exact thing. If you won't use the search function, please at least use your eyeballs.
  • Her post wasn't there when I started typing.
  • It also took me a moment to realize "movement down there" meant kicked in the vagina.... I do regularly search and try to post productive things.... but I also don't get upset about such comments because we can't expect a bunch of pregnant women to be nice all the time :)
  • I'm 21 weeks and my baby is constantly kicking on my belly button or above it . I guess my baby is sitting up high lol I haven't felt any vagina kicks yet
  • Just confirming, but the proper etiqutte is not to delete the post, correct?

You can't delete a thread, but you could add a disclaimer to the title, such as 'accidental repost' or something.

Girl, just change it to a FOOD POST. No one will be sad about that. Now.. Let's talk about.... Pizza. What do you like? Deep dish? Napoli? NY style? Start a poll! I NEED ANSWERS! image
We have a local place that makes awesome deep dish... :x

I prefer NY style myself...and let me tell you, I am a rare breed here since my city is known for it's thin crust pizza. But who can resist that greasy floppy slice all hot and melty?

  • It's tough. typically I'm all about classy brick oven pizzas with the big ole melted circles of hand-pulled mozz... And then other times I want the trashiest, fakest pizza ever.

Like Pizza Hut or Chuck E Cheese.

Chuck-e-Cheese actually makes a mean pie if you're in the mood for crap.  I am with you on the fancy brick oven pizzas though, we have a wonderful place here that makes them all fancy with pine nuts and arugula on top.  They are to die for, but sometimes you just want a good old slice of cheese.

  • Yay! OP, thank you for handling an accidental repost the best way!!!!
DH and I just had a conversation on the overspending we're doing concerning food. I've been way too tired to cook and fast food crap just sounds better anyway. I need some good quick recipes to cook now. But now all I want is Pizza Hut....sigh
  • There's a regional frozen pizza company here called Heggie's. If any of you are ever in MN (i do realize how silly that sounds), make sure you try it! The company is based in central MN, but you can get the pizza in almost any dive bar in the state.

  • Well seeing as I'm from Chicago originally, I'm struggling now to find delicious pizza. My favorite is Giordano's (with Lou Malnati's being a close second)... Alto I have to admit I didn't appreciate deep dish pizza for a long time. I do still prefer a nice, crispy thin crust pizza.
  • I already have my meals planned out for the day and it's just a little after 10am. Chipotle for lunch and pizza for dinner. Taking DS to his and mine favorite local pizza shop. All I think about all day is food! This is so crazy. Don't remember being this obsessed with food while pregnant with DS.
  • Same! I'll be sitting on the couch making an inventory in my head of what food we have and deciding what order I'm going to eat it in. I'm starving every 30 minutes or so now, too... Doesn't matter how hearty a meal/snack I eat, this kiddo seems to take it all and eat it before I've had a sufficient amount of time to feel satisfied lol
  • Seriously, how is it that we are pregnant with babies and not pterodactyls?
  • Lol well... This was our birth announcement- maybe it's coming true ;)
  • I want lots of food, but I get full very fast. Just got some french toast sticks from Burger King. Explain this logic to me: 3 for $1 or 5 for $3... got two sets of 3 lol

We started using a meal delivery service during the week.. Cheaper than going out to eat and keeps us on track. I eat vegan, vegetable-focused lunches and dinners Mon-Fri. It's the only thing keeping me from eating ALL the crap.

In my early 20s (also known as my drinking days) there might have been a few times I put a party pizza in the oven and "fell asleep" while waiting for it to cook.

Is Hello Fresh like Blue Apron? We use a Miami-based service called The Wholly Kitchen. They offer a regular meal plan, vegan, and paleo in different portion sizes. They come to the apartment every morning and we just have to reheat them. Glorious. Surprisingly a lot of cities have services like this and when you sign up for two plans you can get discounts. TOTALLY worth it if you're eating out all the time. We also cut our grocery bill significantly and just buy breakfast items/snacks.

    So cute!
  • The pizza place right by our house makes the best white Greek pizza with tons of kalamata olives. Cheesy, garlicky, salty Goodness. And I'm not going home for dinner tonight. Damn.
  • Lol @ the title of this thread. :))

My work rented out an ice cream truck today, so I got a free peanut butter sundae with sprinkles! And yesterday we had a pizza party! I'm in free food heaven. Thank goodness I have an excuse to eat like a pig right now.

I'm now looking into these things.  I didn't know they existed.  It would be perfect for the month after baby is born.

I've actually found that these services like Blue Apron or Plated are more work than they're worth. Yes, they send you the ingredients, but some of the recipes I got in the trials were SO MANY STEPS and used every pan and tool in my kitchen. So not worth the cleanup. I'd rather use fresh direct or peapod and just have normal food delivered.

My husband so makes fun of me for liking $1 totinos. He says it's probably not even food lol but I could seriously live on pizza. And I also heard a funny quote about pizza:

"Bad pizza is kinda like bad sex, at the end of the day it's still pretty good"
  • Has anyone had the new breadstick sandwiches at Olive Garden that I keep seeing on their commercial? Cause that looks some kinda good to me right now!
