Feedings

Just wonder how old your kids are and how many ounces/times per day they are feeding. My DD is bottle fed, so looking for input from other bottle kids. Most articles you read say no more than 32 oz but others estimated 3 mth olds to be eating 6-7 oz about 5-6 times a day which calculates to more than 32 oz. I have so heard as long as they are gaining weight, don't worry about then32 rule and focus more on the general rule of 2.5 oz per pounds the child weighs. Thoughts???

My son is bottle fed breastmilk and eats 8-10 3oz bottles a day. Never less than 8, but sometimes more than 10.

  • My daughter is 10 weeks and she is eating 4-6 ounces four to five times a day. She started eating 6 ounces like three weeks ago. During the day she mostly eats 4 ounces and at night and when she wakes up in the morning she will eat 6 ounces.
  • My DS take 5.5oz about 7 times a day, sometimes 8 times a day.
  • Ok well if she is not throwing it up than I think it's fine.
  • Our 3 month LO generally eats between 4-6 ounces every 2-3 hours. Generally closer to 6 ounces but it varies from day to day. This morning she slept for a solid 7 hours so she's only had 6 bottles over a 16 hour span. The doctor said as long as she's not spitting up, she's fine.
