Had a salad dressing with sherry cooking wine!

Hello all,
Can anyone give me some reassurance for something that just happened to me? I mixed this Taylor farms salad kit and and took like 4 bites before I read the label again and realized the dressing had sherry cooking wine in it! I had bought it reading just 'basamic vinaigrette' as the dressing but didn't notice the wine in the ingredient list. I am now debating whether to deliberately throw up or just be cool since it was just a few bites? I generally avoid alcohol in anything and this one time when I needed to be really careful for my baby I slipped! I feel so bad and dumb and hungry and angry 😭

@saizbat I would not worry about it! I understand how frustrating it can be when you’ve been so careful, but honestly I don’t think even a sip of wine here or there would have a negative impact, especially if you’re past the first trimester (not that I’m testing that out lol but that’s my understanding!). The amount of alcohol in salad dressing is negligible, basically zero - otherwise they would have to put a warning on the label! Everything will be totally fine! :)

  • Yes do not stress at all. You should reach “expecting better”, it covers all the data we have on alcohol and basically after your first trimester, you could have a glass of wine without it being detrimental. The alcohol in dressing is nonexistent.

Thank you guys for the reassurance! Fortunately, I had my prenatal appointment right the next morning and the doctor too said it shouldn't be an issue. I generally avoid alcohol in anything due to religious reasons and am always checking labels for that. So this one time when I really slipped while also pregnant, it made me feel very overwhelmed. So grateful to have this community!
