Hey ladies! It's my first time posting here and I have a couple questions. I think I am pregnant... It's kind of a long story. How can I tell? I am a little nervous to use the pregnancy test

This one will answer your questions: https://forums.thebump.com/categories/1st-trimester

Also, make an appointment with an OB.

I get that feeling. I was totally in denial with my first, and for a little while, it was easier to pretend it wasn't happening. However, taking the test, as scary as it seemed at the time, was really helpful. It set me free from the "am I/am I not?" limbo I was stuck in. Once you know for sure, you can start making definite plans, and better prepare.

On top of that, it is very important to get care for yourself and your baby during the pregnancy if you are indeed pregnant. The OB/doctor/midwife who provides your care wants to make sure you and baby are as healthy as possible, and they can only do that if you actually start going to appointments. There are some screenings and tests that can catch potential problems early, and make treatment easier and more effective.

The test itself is easy, and nothing to be nervous about. Please take one as soon as you can. I promise, it is better to know for sure.

  • If you are being serious, just take a pregnancy test.  It takes 3 minutes and it's the only way to know.

  • If you're serious and need to find out if you're pregnant take the test and find out.  It's nerve wracking, but you need to know.  The step after that (assuming it's positive) is to call your family physician or your ob and set up an appointment.  From there, listen to your doctor and read up on pregnancy.  I recommend a book called What to Expect When Expecting.  There is also a website by the same name which provides information.  This site provides information as well.

    QFP
    MUD, anyone?

How do you expect to find out, if you don't take a test? Walmart has some for like $.99. Ignoring the issue is not going to make it go away, and you may not even pregnant and worrying yourself needlessly.

  • If you're pregnant or not, if you're 18 years old and sexually active, it's time to make an appointment with a gynecologist if you don't already have one. Psyching yourself up for the first appointment is WAY worse than the actual appointment.

Ummmm, not a bunch of people who are 20 weeks pregnant. Even if you haven't had a period in 3 months, you're about 12 weeks...

First you need to know if there's something to talk about.  If you are worried about how your family/child's father will react you still need to know for your health even if you decide not to have the child, although you may be running out of options in that regard the further along you get.  If you do not know who the child's father is or this child is the product of an assault, there is help out there for you.  You do not have access to some of it without knowing whether or not a child exists.

ETA:  Holy run on sentences batman.  Sorry.  I can't grammar today.

Take a pregnancy test. It's ok if you're nervous, but it's important to know so you can take the best care of baby you can, If you are pregnant, as others have already said.
If you haven't had a period in over 60 days, and are not pregnant, you need to get yourself checked out by a doctor anyway and see what is going on!

Wow so of y'all are rude, I just have some questions and was hoping to talk

We're just telling you this is not the appropriate place. You will find more information and support on a relevant board like 1st Tri. Also, the only question you posed was "how can I tell if I'm pregnant?" The only way is with a test.

So I'll just say it, I had anal for the first time and I haven't had a period since! IDK WHAT TO DO!

I'm going to answer this assuming you are in fact not a psychopath that makes up stories to start drama on the bump.

    TAKE A DAMN PREGNANCY TEST

End of story, that's how you can tell if you're pregnant.
