What week did you feel the baby start moving?

I am going to be 19 weeks on Friday and I haven't really felt the baby moving all that much. i am getting really nervous for my anatomy scan next week because it feels like theres been so little movement. I am probably paranoid but I feel like with my other two I felt movement way earlier. And I did feel some movement before I thought but now it just feels like silence.  And Im scared....is 18 weeks too early to feel movement? I have felt contractions kind of. And I can't tell if that is the baby moving or if its just my body tightening around the womb. Im so confused...

i tried doing a search and it didn't answer my question - which is why i started my own.

i don't know why people say stuff like that on people's questions....all it does is try to make somebody feel and look stupid. like i don't know what I'm doing or am somehow rude for asking my question.

How about you provide a link to another convo that would guide me in stead of criticizing me asking my own question and seeking my own answer to my issue....and then hijacking my post to make it all about you and your craving for chocolate lava cake?

    ego-centric much?

Your question said "what week did you start to feel the baby move?" And then another one asking if 18 weeks was too early. Both have been answered plenty of times.
  • I am a second time mom but I've been feeling him kick, punch and roll since 15 weeks. Not consistently, but I'm now 21 weeks and I can feel him from the outside too!
  • Actually, if you go to the 2nd trimester board there is a thread, I believe quote "when did you feel baby move" on the first page, and it's like the 4th forum down... Js
  • you all have WAY too much time on your hands to be criticizing me for asking a friggen question. now criticizing my spelling and doubting that i actually *did* do a search?

smh....its no wonder its so hard to be a female when every time you ask a simple question you get attacked and criticized by other females just for having your own experience that may differ from others. that attitude is shameful and i hope that your daughters grow up and treat you like that cuz you will deserve it.

I don't know if you should be riding such a high horse while pregnant. There really are tons of threads like this even on the first two pages alone. And wondering when the baby will move is not a unique experience so hence people's annoyance at yet another post. As for when the simple answer is it's different for everyone so no one here or online or anywhere can give you a definite answer. At your anatomy scan they will be able to tell where your placenta is and that can also affect when you will feel movement. At this point don't stress it's still early yet for FTM. If you do decide to research this though the inter webs has some great info about it.
  • Will someone please start a board about what they're having and babies names... Please...

But is this really why it's hard to be a female?

It's also hard to be a WOMAN when other women insist on calling you a"female" like a dog.
Right? I hate when women say "female".  It seems so trashy to me.

Maybe I haven't felt movement yet because I got pregnant via my butt??  Is that what you are saying?
Boss just thought I was crying at my desk because I couldn't compose myself after this comment. =))
That is pure success!!!  I have had a few of those today too with all of this nonsense going on. :)

Yes but you'll know about it come November, you do realise if you get pregnant via butt you have to give birth via butt?? Bet you're regretting the anal now...

Wow, why are you all so mean and cliquey? You realize you are exemplifying a really negative stereotype of women, right? Is this really the world you want to live in and for your babies to be born into? Change starts with you.

Here's a real answer, i dont have time to scroll through the BS - im 19 weeks and barely feel anything. Had my 20-week scan yesterday and he was moving so much, the tech was annoyed that she couldn't get pictures, meanwhile i felt nothing. So just bc you don't feel it doesn't mean the baby's not fine.
  • Chilis has that molten lava cake with ice cream! Ohhhh you know where to find me later!!

Omg!! You just made me think of heaven! Already ate a full size burrito from chipotle this evening, but you will find me eating at chills tomorrow night!! Yum
