I just asked my doctor this at my visit today. I am 38 weeks. She explained as baby runs out of room the sensations will change and seem less aggressive. Totally normal but if you are concerned, call them and have them check for you!
I'm 36w2d and my little girl is still being aggressive. When she moves/kicks, my whole belly moves and sometimes it looks like she's trying to get out. maybe it'll change as she gets bigger but not so far.
38 weeks here. Baby moves less overall, but when I have BH contractions (which are now frequent and can be intense), baby squirms and swims in response -- like she's trying to escape! Her knee/elbow continues to poke out two or more inches from my tummy. When she does this, it hurts! She's always done it but the pain is new. It feels like my uterus is bruised in that spot, and overall, like the whole muscle is too strained to stretch anymore.
I was hoping for a lightening up in movement but my bruiser seems intent on keeping the nickname. I'm in agony with the intensity and force of movement- last night all I could do was cry it hurt so much. I swear I'm going to give birth to a 12 lbs octopus. :-/
36+1... Yup... Movements aren't as sharp/harsh as before but still active. Like PP, these LO are running out of space. When I finally did a 3d/4d ultrasound last week, baby boy was in a cannon ball position, lol!
I'm not getting as many prods and pokes nut it's like my whole belly moves at once! I am 36+1 today. I know she is measuring ahead size wise so maybe that's contributing.
I am 36 & 3 days...my boy is very active! He still squirms, flexes, presses & stretches (not so much kicks, because of less space) almost every hour!! His movements last anywhere from 10-45 minutes once he starts. Then within an hour or hour & a half he starts up again. His rest periods are brief. I have felt movement throughout the day since week 19. At one point I even asked my doctor if I should be concerned about too much movement… She laughed at me, said no and told me to consider myself lucky
