STM or more and bra cup size?

When I had my son my boobs went from a B to a C----and never went back down. This time around I am literally falling out of my C cup on my bra and thinking of having to try on a size D in the near future. I know I have a lot longer to go till February.

Any moms out there have their boobs go back to their pre-pregnancy size after baby? I am just wondering if I am going to end up with D size boobs the rest of my life! lol

Re: STM or more and bra cup size?

  • Mine went from a C to a D the first time around. After I weaned, I'm back to a C cup. But, I lost a fat while pregnant and gained almost no weight (I put on 20 lbs in the month before I got pregnant because my brother died very suddenly), so I'm not sure how that factored in.

  • After my first kiddo, I lost more weight and was about 15 lbs below prepregnancy weight. My boobs were smaller than they originally were. Now they're giant again. >_<

Let me start by saying I'm sorry if I scare anyone!

    Pre-pregnancy 38DD
By week six I had gone up a size despite losing weight. I found a different brand that was comfy and ended up at 42DD.
    My nursing bras were 42DDD.
I was fitted at a professional store a few months ago. I'm at my full term pregnancy weight now :(. My bras are a 42J and I have definitely increased in the last week.

I'm considering reduction when I am done nursing this one. I highly recommend a professional fitting and I don't mean VS. my 42J bras are the most comfortable and supportive bras I've ever owned.
  • And I'd add that by professional fitting, you should be going to a store where they properly train them to measure (Nordstrom's is my favorite). So not Victoria's Secret. You don't have to buy any bras there (or can just buy one) and then by the rest some place cheaper.

  • I was a B/C pre-pregnancy. After DS (nursed for 11 months), went down to A. After DD (nursed for 13 months), went down to AA. And thats where they are now. I also was my lowest weight Ive been in 10+ years after DD, so maybe that had to do with some of it? But yeah. Hoping this pregnancy gives me some of my boobs back.

You are scaring me!!! I'm already a 42DD, I know they've gotten bigger and I'm only 7 weeks, I can't imagine more weight up there, your poor back!! Any suggestions on stores then? Any thoughts on Soma?
  • I was a DD prior to my first LO. I'm still nursing a little bit at 22mo and am a 38G.

Like most, one side was bigger than the other prior to my first pregnancy, but they are WAY worse now. Ditto the good bra fitting. I got my bras at a little boutique shop after LO was born and my bras have never felt better.

  • Pre-pregnancy DDD
    Pregnancy F/G
Nursing G/H then back to an F

This time around I'm at about a G but I'm already purchasing H nursing bras due to last experience. I'm also considering a breast reduction when I'm done having babies. I am only 5'2" and my back kills me from the weight. I'm scared about nursing. Nursing my son was a horrendous experience. My boob was the same size as him *sigh*
  • Pre-pregnancy: average Ds. Not to perky, just right.

    Pregnancy and bfing: EEs. Huuuuge.

    Now: Droopy Ds.

After this kid I expect that they'll be flat and long like in National Geographic and that I'll roll them into a size D cup. So sexy.

Pre pregnancy boobs were 34DD, then I got pregnant and bumped up to 34DDD and they stayed that way while I was breastfeeding. I ended up losing almost 20 additional lbs from my prepregnancy weight and when my milk dried up I was a 32D. But that year they went back up to those 34DDs that I had to start with. They haven't really grown too much this pregnancy
  • Glad to hear others are experiencing this only at week 6!  I got several 18 hour bras (38D), and I've been wearing them with a sports bra over.  Problem is, after one week, it is too tight around the rib cage already, and  have no more loops.  Everyday, I make my husband tell me whether my breasts are still bigger (a job he doesn't mind!), and everyday he says yes.  I have had no morning sickness, but I am having upper back issues--probably because of the boobs.

So not to early to get a larger size?  Should I try 40DD, just to give myself room to grow throughout the rest of this process?
