I think it's ok it you give him a longer more formal name and use Dash as a NN. I just think about him applying for jobs etc. We use my son's MN as his NN and it is only one letter different from Dash. Strangers constantly miss hear and call him Dash. I don't mind though. He is a very energetic child so it kind of fits
I don't mind Dashiell but don't love Dash. Dash itself has broken the top 1000 so it's not completely unheard of and I wouldn't side eye it, I just wouldn't personally use it.
Otherwise, it's just the name of the Kardashian's clothing boutique (and the reason why Kourtney K. named her son "Mason Dash Dissick.") Which no one will even remember by the time your son is in jr. high, but right now, the idea of naming a baby Dash makes me cringe.

Thanks ladies! I had no idea it was a Kardashian thing - the second I told DH he's like damn now we definitely can't use it!! Thanks for the help!! I thought it was cute but wasn't sold and now definitely not :-)
Re: Unique boy name? Or just strange?
