Buying clothes too early and all one gender

I have been buying baby clothes for 6 months, since we started trying to get pregnant, from like thrift stores and yard sales. But I, for some reason, only find myself buying girl clothes. I am only 6 weeks along and obviously don't know what the gender is yet, but is it weird to only be buying clothes for one or the other??

  • Yes, it's weird. You have a 50/50 shot of having a boy or a girl, why set yourself up for disappointment like that?

  • It's not weird (compared to some other hobbies), but definitely short-sighted.

Unless you're open about what kind of clothes are acceptable for boys or girls! But chances are you won't feel comfortable putting a baby boy in a pink onesie.
  • It's not weird, but it is setting yourself up for inconvenience and disappointment, unless you're happy to donate the clothes or give them to a friend if you can't use them. I'd probably focus on purchases that work with either sex.
