It is spreadable Belgian cookies, essentially. I prefer the Biscoff brand, but if there is a Trader Joe's near you, its brand is pretty good also.
But, remember, if you can't be good and only eat 1/4 cup like @erikaalzet -- then you might be like some of us and gain five pounds from your new-found meaning of life.
And just when I thought I was done, I am not. Because after all, this was supposed to be FLAME free, but that went left.
Final dang confession:
I am pro equality in marriage rights. I am pro- a lot of things. Today is OBVIOUSLY a landmark day in gay rights, and I am glad my friends and relatives can now marry as they please. All that being said, what makes me mad as hell - and this is not ever to diminish the gains of any one group that requires equality and then gains equality in any one area - is that the outrage I am seeing here and have seen for this issue does not seem to translate to outrage for other groups that lack equality in any other number of areas. Social pressure creates legislative change time and time again. We want big change, get pissed the hell off about everything else, too. So today was for me just a reminder that people are not as angry as they need to be about a lot of things.
Please someone tell me that is not a confession. Please.
It's not. And you're right. But it is so hard to fight the good fight. I can barely manage my toddler. I have a friend who fights the good fight, both in life and on FB (which is where I see it). But I don't know what to actually do. Plus I live in North Idaho, which so beautiful and lets us be hermit-like from the world, but the diversity of life and views is pretty small here. As in, practically nonexistent. So I think it, and I vote it, but I have no idea how to actually help. And I wonder if there's a lot of me out there.
Our country is NOT, I repeat NOT doing big things. So we can celebrate same sex marriage in the US all we want, but let's not be all "Yay! America!"
America is still ass backwards.
I can't love this enough. Yes, it's a great thing for people to marry whoever they please. But I mean there's bigger issues America should be taking care of. My husband and I are not so much anti equality, we just don't technically agree with it. It's like today everyone (on Facebook) is shaming non gays and I can't even. Just can't. ~X(
You only think there are "bigger issues" because you are privileged enough to have chosen who to marry and were legally allowed to do it. When your DH goes into the hospital for something scary you can be in the room, help make decisions, etc. When you have a child you will both have rights to that child...gosh there's so much more but i cant go there with you today.
And that's okay! But unfortunately there are bigger issues going on in America. I by no means said I hate gays and wish this never happened. It's great for them to be treated like human beings. But maybe you didn't get the point of my post. @breezypip had a lot of great comments towards it.
@cmdd is just pointing out a different part of your post, different from @breezypip. To SOME people this was the biggest issue in America. I think her point was more that everyone has different ideas of what the biggest issues in America are, based on their beliefs and ideas. Not being able to be in the hospital room with a SO because you aren't legally wed was the biggest issue in America for lots of people before today. To you, other things are more important and bigger, because you already had the right to be with your DH.
It's not about "hating gays"- no one said that. Just understanding that different people place greater importance on different issues. saying there are bigger issues in America isn't necessarily "correct". You can say, there are bigger issues for you personally- which is fine.
@CMDD My confession was in general. This is a trend I notice with certain issues even on my Facebook account. Though, to bring up the boards, I will confess (how appropriate) that I do not have enough faith in the collective members of this board to be able to have a productive and informed conversation about a number of equality topics. That is an honest and vulnerable confession.
@tralalablah 1. I should have also shared that my doctor said I have gained 10 pounds in 4 weeks (bad doctor, it was like 6lbs, and most of it was poop, damn IBS and slowed pregnancy digestion). Okay. Maybe it was 8 lbs. I can only use the "but I was small" card for much longer. My clothes still fit! WAHHHH 2. The onus is on everyone, so when one or two or three are tackling other things the collective opinion still moves forward. Facebook and Twitter are wonderful platform for spreading the word on views. Most of us help simply by staying informed, informing others even if their platform is teeny-tiny, reading a variety of news sources, and as you named, voting based on all that information.

I tried to find a gif of manna falling from heaven but Google failed me. I'm not super close to a trader joes, but I think I'll be taking that 30min drive this weekend.....
August '18 March Siggy Challenge - You had ONE JOB
If my sister doesn't get her fat, completely capable, lazy ass a job soon and continues to collect unemployment I'm cutting her out of our lives. Programs like unemployment are for people who need it---not 26 year olds who just "don't want to work".
I have zero tolerance for abuse of the system and entitlement.

Yes, but it goes both way I understand what you're saying.
This might be an UO...but I hate cookie butter. Whyyyy does everyone love it so much! To me its like nutella..can't stand the stuff. Also if you have a trader joes around they sell it by the barrel (kidding). They do sell it though.
I think @erikaalzet meant (at least this is how I took it) is people think that America is pioneering in the rights of equality, when in reality we are one of the LAST 'developed' countries to legalize same-sex marriage. We have a LONG way to go regarding civil rights.
I love all the people on FB saying 'I'm moving to Canada.' Gay marriage was legalized in Canada in 2005.
That's how I took it also and I agree. I personally don't think we are the greatest country in the world when we have so much more to work on like education, healthcare, equality, etc.

My FFFC-I think Facebook sucks! I don't have it. When people ask me why I don't have it, I just say "I like my privacy too much." Which is not a lie… But the real reason that I don't have it (under an assumed name) is because I just don't give a shit what you ate for lunch unless we are close enough that I care. I don't want to hear what 3000 people had for lunch.
Instead, I'm part of an invitation only community. We have guidelines and rules. If you don't follow them, you get thrown out. Maybe I just like the exclusivity?

You are correct in terms of seeking knowledge as to who I am as being futile. I will tell you though that I am not a Shabazz. Even though my ancestors did wander the desert for 40 years.

Hey, why are you not in the December 2015 Moms FB group?
I see lots of flaming.... I guess people don't know what fffc stands for?
My fffc is I hate it when people just throw around terms like "racist" or "sexist" or "homophobic". For ex: I do not care for our president, I don't agree with his policies. Does that make me racist, because he also happens to be half black? No.
I agree with traditional marriage. Does that make me homophobic? No. I am not afraid of gay people, which is literally what "homophobia" is. Does it make me a bigot? No. I don't hate gay people or begrudge anyone having an opinion different to my own (which is literally the definition of a bigot).
I think it's nice when a man is chivalrous and opens a door for a woman, especially if she has a stroller or is pregnant. Does that make me sexist, because somehow I'm allowing myself to be "less of a woman" because a man did something nice for me? No.
These words exist for a reason... I wish people used them only in instances that justified them.

I agree that none of those situations you describe are situations in which those words are appropriate. Some people don't understand the strong meaning behind words like those.
But please understand that while not supporting same-sex marriage does not equal you being homophobic necessarily, many view that stance akin to not thinking women should have the right to vote or things of that nature. Of course it didn't mean men disliked women by not allowing them to vote, but they were denying them a freedom afforded to everyone else. I see same-sex marriage as a similar situation. It's about being viewed as an equal.
I am in no way trying to flame you, but just wanted to point out why that stance can be hurtful and bring up some strong feelings.
Yes, @donnanduncan... Who are you talking about? There were conversations in which people outside of this board were called bigots, but I don't think anyone said anything worthy of being called a bigot or talking about them procreating. Although hopefully you dirty deleted because you realized you were wrong, not because you realized you would get flamed for saying that...
I cried at lunch today because I was trying to tell my sister she couldn't tell people without my permission (we haven't announced yet) and she said 'would you rather everyone just think you're fat'? Hormonal I guess. And felt really bad for crying b/c it upset my grandma (she's like 90) but couldn't help it. Sometimes I just want to strangle my sister. Sensitive subject since I've gained 15 in 16 weeks.
