    I've had 8...yes 8 cookies dipped in yummy milk for breakfast and I do not care! Also, it's 10:45 and I haven't showered yet. No shame.

    I brought my toast with peanut butter to eat on the drive to work today. When I walked outside a tiny bug landed in it and I ate it anyway. Totally gross, but more protien!

    @Embuzz247 I haven't used my gym membership in months either!  I've been walking on the local trail along the bay instead, I get to enjoy the salt air and sun :)

    I have a cousin who had a tough pregnancy, but completely abused her body the whole time. She is now seeking attention because her baby is BACK in the NICU after coming home a bit too early.
    I sympathize with that poor sweet baby, but her mother can take a walk. So frustrated with her today!!!

    Why would they release the baby from the NICU if it was "too early?"

    I'm not sure. I doubt she was released too early, it's just the line we're being given. I'm staying out of it. I just can't with her. Can't. Want to poke her with something sharp and rusty.

    I can't love this enough. Yes, it's a great thing for people to marry whoever they please. But I mean there's bigger issues America should be taking care of. My husband and I are not so much anti equality, we just don't technically agree with it. It's like today everyone (on Facebook) is shaming non gays and I can't even. Just can't. ~X(

    I'm not going to have any friends left by the time this baby comes. And I'm OK with that. Just spent the day with my friend and wanted to throat punch her the whe time. Wow, she got under my skin today. I couldn't wait to drop her off.

    I should do more around the house during DD's nap, but that's the only "me" time that I get, and I certainly don't want to waste that time doing dishes or laundry or vacuuming. I generally end up doing those after breakfast or right before DH gets home while DD's watching Sesame Street so she's not up under my feet.

    @redfallon Given that this is not something I readily share with most people, or my stance on most issues of this nature, I would challenge that and say it is indeed a confession. 

    It also does not strike me as an unpopular opinion on these boards, unless everyone here in fact does readily sing America's praises. If so, that is a genuine surprise for me. But maybe it shouldn't be.

    It's all over my news feed today. I haven't seen anyone say anything negative towards it, yet the gays (on my Facebook) are being so ridiculous. Just my own personal experience from the day.

    Yes. I am quoting myself to emphasize what I said earlier. I have a lot to unload.

    I plan on calling my OB office every other day for the results of my Panorama test. Sure I can wait until my July 20th appointment, but why? One only has enough patience as they know they need.

    Not what I'm saying at all. One girl posted "I can get married in all 50 states now take that idiotic Christians." Like, really. Just various statements throughout the day. Go ahead and celebrate it's exciting for them! But there's no need for the hatred.

    It just started for me, but I DO also have a tilted uterus so maybe that's amplifying it! I keep forgetting that may cause it to press on things in a different way than normal Utes. Well, at least I have built in work out walking to and from the bathroom all day :-)

    I think I might become one of those crazy hermit old people who give up on their country and just stick to themselves, rather than the person I thought I could be who could help create change in the world. I'm super happy about gay marriage, but I don't like how the Confederate Flag has become such a thing in light of a racist madman, I hate all the politicians and don't know what I'm going to do in the next election. :(

    Also, I want someone else to toilet train my headstrong toddler while I sit on the couch and get through this transition to second trimester which is not going as well as I'd hoped.

    I'll agree that statement is out of line and perhaps some mis-placed frustration. Unfortunately for the Christian religion as a whole, SOME Christians hide their bigotry behind their religion and cite the bible as a support for their rejection of the gays to even exist, much less marry. It is a disservice to all Christians. I'm not Christian, but I do know that isn't what the bible teaches unless you choose to use the most harsh interpretation of its words, and know that many Christians are able to practice their religion without denying an entire group of people their basic human rights.

    So it sounds to me like your friend (I guess you're friends if you see her on your feed) isn't shaming non-gays, but instead those that wished to deny her right to marry. She's unfortunately identified those people as Christian when she should have said bigot.
    Nicely said! I would agree that that is offensive, but misplaced.

Later on in the trip, I KID YOU NOT, a roach crawled up the edge of her seat, onto her back (this is NYC, which is in general nasty, quiet as it's kept). Normally, I would have alerted a stranger of this or flicked it off them and told them. This time I let it crawl. No regrets.

    Agreed, I was very offended! I honestly have never even read the bible so I don't think I'll ever throw out bible verses at someone. Definitely understand what you're saying though. Valid points. :)

    Final dang confession:
    I am pro equality in marriage rights. I am pro- a lot of things. Today is OBVIOUSLY a landmark day in gay rights, and I am glad my friends and relatives can now marry as they please. All that being said, what makes me mad as hell - and this is not ever to diminish the gains of any one group that requires equality and then gains equality in any one area - is that the outrage I am seeing here and have seen for this issue does not seem to translate to outrage for other groups that lack equality in any other number of areas. Social pressure creates legislative change time and time again. We want big change, get pissed the hell off about everything else, too. So today was for me just a reminder that people are not as angry as they need to be about a lot of things.

    Please someone tell me that is not a confession. Please.

    Maybe it's because we haven't discussed those other issues (enough? at all?) on here?

    You only think there are "bigger issues" because you are privileged enough to have chosen who to marry and were legally allowed to do it. When your DH goes into the hospital for something scary you can be in the room, help make decisions, etc. When you have a child you will both have rights to that child...gosh there's so much more but i cant go there with you today. 


    And that's okay! But unfortunately there are bigger issues going on in America. I by no means said I hate gays and wish this never happened. It's great for them to be treated like human beings. But maybe you didn't get the point of my post. @breezypip had a lot of great comments towards it. :)
