My husband and I are so excited to be having our first baby (a precious little girl). We're an interracial couple. He's Caucasian, Irish, and Black Foot Indian. I'm African American, French, and Choctaw Indian. Are any of you have biracial babies? Is so, what's your blend?
I'm Mexican and hubs is Caucasian. He's 6'2 and I'm 5'1, he has green eyes, I have brown. Super excited to see our little girl with his face. He has such a cute face!
While my child won't be biracial, I do have to say that some of the most adorable babies I have seen are biracial! You all are going to have such cute little ones!
I'm Irish and German and hubby is African American. I can't wait to see my little halfrican Princess! I hope she gets my green eyes and a beautiful blend of our skin tones!
My husband is Sicilian, Puerto Rican, German, and Native American. I'm black. He has thick, curly brown hair, hazel eyes, and freckles. I have thick, kinky curly hair. I can't wait to see what she looks like. But more so I can't wait to get to know her and see what her personality is like. We're both goofballs but he's a lot more easygoing than I am. It would be hilarious if she turned out to be an introvert considering the both of us are pretty social people. I think she knows I'm talking about her because she's flopping around now. LOL.
My first dd is Irish/ Mexican and Italian.she has golden blonde curly hair,a dark tan and golden brown eyes.
All of my others are Puerto Rican in addition to my Irish Mexican self. The both have natural blonde highlights that pop up in their dark brown hair and one has blue dominant hazel eyes the other green dominant hazel eyes.
I'm Mexican and Guatemalan black hair dark brown eyes straight hair 5'1 lightly tanned and my husband is Mexican and Puerto Rican curly hair white haha and hazel eyes he is way taller then me he has black hair as well. I want our little boy to look just like his handsome daddy
So technically our daughter and this baby aren't biracial but I consider them to be. I'm a caucasian european mutt, and my husband is 100% Egyptian (which is technically caucasian). Our daughter has a nice mix of our features. She has the cute ringlets and luckily is not as pale as me!
I'm Irish/German/French Canadian and my husband is Arabic. The kids have my blondish hair with his brown eyes and darker skin tone. It's a perfect mix!
I'm white and my husband is African American and Jamaican. I am so anxious to see whose features she gets! It's going to be so exciting seeing the blend of us! She's gonna have big thighs 100%. I have massive muscular thighs and so does hubby!
I have a hard time with the concept of race, because I think it is a social construct amd involves more than skin color. It lumps people together that may not have that much in common, and who is part of some categories - like white for instance - changes over time. For instance, my husband is around half Italian. One hundred years ago Italian was not considered white; now it is. Neither was Irish. Ugh, so complicated.
So, I prefer to use the term multiethnic. Our baby will definitely be that, and may be considered biracial by some because I probably am. My background is German, Scotch-Irish, Mexican, and Puerto Rican. So I guess that makes me white-Hispanic. Husband is Italian and German-Swedish if I remember correctly. He has brilliant blue eyes and skin that tans but normally is pretty white. My skin is a bit more olive and I have deep brown eyes. Our hair is brown. So our baby won't look dramatically "biracial", but enough genetics are at play that we are curious what traits the baby will have!
I'm Dutch/Mexican and my husband is Mexican. My dad was blonde with blue eyes and my mom is olive with dark brown eyes, like myself and my husband so I'm hoping for pretty olive skin for our boy. Genes are funny though, my brother's son has blonde hair and blue eyes like my dad even though both parents are brunette.
I'm Mexican and my SO is a red head. As red as they come lol I cam wait to meet this little one. For those of you who have mixed babies already, y'all should totally post pics!
I'm Caucasian (mostly Anglo/Western European) and my husband is Caucasian and Cheyenne. Our son has blue, blue eyes, but he tans easily in the sun. His hair is blonde, but with DH and I had blonde hair when we were younger.
I'm curious to see if DD will inherit DH's brown eyes and natural tan, or if she'll get my green eyes and pinkish complexion.
My best friend is Caucasian (and very pale complected), and her husband is from Haiti. Their daughters are beautiful; they look like a mixture of mother and father with caramel colored skin and dark, curly hair.
I'm Italian and hubby is Indian. We have an adorable little boy who is two (he is a perfect blend of the two of us!!) and are expecting a little girl 10/19.
I really want our babies to bilingual, regardless of what they look like.
I told my husband the same thing. He doesn't know Italian or Spanish; I know more Spanish than he does. But I want our daughter to be multilingual. We're thinking about taking up Mandarin because it's a language that's growing in our area. And Spanish would be helpful because it's spoken just about everywhere.
I'm white (my people have been in the U.S. since the late 1600s so I couldn't decipher my "mix" if I tried) and my husband is Korean but people who have tried to guess "what kind of asian" he is have said chinese, filipino, anything but Korean. No idea what our kid is going to look like, it's going to be fun surprise! Here's hoping she doesn't acquire the hairy women gene from my mom's side of the family.
However: my husband and I have no idea what it's like be mixed race. My kid is going to going have vastly different experiences than me and I sometimes feel ill-equipped to guide her through them.
@elmann1 ideally our son will speak creole and Spanish. I want him to have a grasp of all the wonderful cultures that make him, him. Also, it will be a great opportunity for him to bond with his grandparents on both sides! I wish my mom spoke more German but she was raised here since she was 2.
Husband is latino and I am caucasian. He has a medium skin tone, black hair and brown eyes. And I have blonde hair, blue eyes, light light skin and freckles. (:
SO is Puerto Rican and I'm a mix of French, German, and Native American. He is light skinned (most people don't think he is Hispanic in any way until they know his last name or he speaks Spanish) with big brown eyes. I'm very light skinned with medium brown hair and a weird hazel colored eye.
We're hoping for his big eyes and my cheek bones lol
Biracial babies are some of the cutest I have ever seen! Especially those of darker skin types, I just love the tan skinned dark hair and eye look! Too cute!
I'm Mexican and the hubs is Slovakian. Our 2 year old looks completely Caucasian - she's tall, pale skin and has dirty blonde/blonde ombré hair. She has my brown eyes and gets a killer tan during the summer. She has the best of both worlds!
I'm excited to see what our son is going to look like
