We told everyone today!

ok so let me first say that we had an appointment with the genetics doctor this morning. We were not expecting an ultrasound but got one! We are 11 weeks and 1 day today and we're told everything looks great. They even looked for the fluid behind the neck and says everything looks the way it's supposed to! We also did the blood work for the MaterniT21 test today and waiting for the results which we should get next week. So anyways after having that ultrasound and were told that everything looks great we decided to spill the beans. We told both of our parents and they were overly excited. With my parents this will be their first grandchild! I was a little worried about MIL but she screamed with excitement:) it felt good being able to tell people and not have it so hush hush.

    Yay! We plan on telling my parents in person tomorrow and his mom via Skype right after and I'm so excited...it's the first grandkid on both sides for us, and I know everybody has wanted one for awhile. We're only 9 weeks, we plan on telling extended family at 11 weeks after our next ultrasound and genetics results, friends at 12 weeks, and social media at 14 (by which point we'll know the sex too!)

    So glad to hear yours went well! I'm sure mine will too but I'm still nervous, haha, even though I know it'll be nothing but happiness...it's like throwing a surprise party, it's nerve-wracking!

    Yes I'm sure it will go great! I worried for no reason:). First grandchildren is just as exciting as finding out the first time that your pregnant. I am just as happy as I was when we got our BFP!
