I refer to mine as little bean, I'm almost 11 weeks so it's not really a little bean in size anymore!

We are using two names - "prawn" as it looked like a baby prawn all curled up on the 1st ultrasound at 7 weeks and ocelot which is cute as it's a cat :) But the real reason it's ocelot is because we like Oscar for a boy and Scarlett for a girl & together they make Ocelot :) well we think it's cute anyway ;)

We call ours Squishy like from Finding Nemo. :). "I shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine."

  • We've been calling it McLittle (our last name start with Mc) and my inlaws have been calling it "grandberry" hahaaaaa
  • My sister thought my first ultrasound (for baby #1) looked like either a peanut or a cocktail shrimp, so she started affectionately calling it "peanut shrimp". Stuck until she was born, and then she became "alien baby". My sister's a little eccentric... But it sure gave us a fun name to call baby in-utero!
  • We call ours little peach right now! I agree I really don't like saying "it". I'll say he/she before saying it. Or little peach.  ;))

  • He's had a few names. The most current one is Axel!!! It's driving my family nuts and makes me giggle.

  • At the first ultrasound my husband pointed out how baby looked like a little shrimp. Then he laughed and told me we were going to have a little Bubba Gump. My husband and his family love Forrest Gump, so the name stuck. :)
  • Ours is unicorn. The doctor was surprised at our pregnancy (overweight, irregular periods with one blocked fallopian tube) she said it was pretty rare and incredible we conceived a healthy baby when I should have had an ectopic or a lot of trouble conceiving. I was explaining to dh how our unicorn pregnancy was described by Dr. And it stuck!
  • We are both hoping for a boy. My husband was joking around one day and called it skeeter... and it stuck. I think it's funny and we aren't telling everyone still so it's our own little joke
  • i'm calling mine .. Alien

  • I call mine bean. My husband thinks I'm weird but whatever. :D
  • we call it pickle as when we had our first scan at 7+5 it looked just like a pickle!!!

  • Our first was Sprout.  With this baby it keeps changing but after the last ultrasound, it really looked like a Gummy Bear at a Rave.  So it's been Raving Gummy Bear or Sprout 2: Electric Boogaloo.  Pregnancy has made me seriously loopy but I can't find a name that sticks like the first one did.

  • Shrimpy =]

When the doctor told me I was 8 weeks I googled what the baby looks like. My husband said a shrimp. From then on Shrimpy has had our hearts!

  • We call the baby Leech...because it's sucking the life out of me! Sweet, I know.
  • We either call it Baby or Ca$h Money. Emphasis on the $ in Ca$h ;)
  • Mine is my little chicken nugget!  Don't know why that name stuck because at first I was calling it little peanut.  I used to love Chicken McNuggets growing up (confession:  I still do :D  ) so maybe that's why. B-)
