I read about a study (not the study itself but a secondhand source) that said that mom's dreams about the babies sex are one of the more accurate predictors. Obviously nothing close to 100%, but better than 50%. Any of you had any dreams about babies sex? I'd be curious to hear if there dreams come true.
I TOTALLY thought I was having a boy but never had any dreams about the baby until after we found it it was a girl. My husband, on the other hand, had multiple dreams about about a little girl before we knew. His motherly instinct is better than mine.
@mellymar can I just for the hell of it vote that you're having a boy? I mean, I don't know you and I was completely wrong with my own pregnancy but I thought I'd just throw that out there

I had like two dreams total about my guy before he was born. Now I dream about him all the time.
I think mellymar is having a boy too. Lol. Maybe the whole ewok thing seems boyish to me.
@mvargas12@klkonwi my mom and my sister also think its a boy. Such a pain in the ass at this point, and who else but a man would be so annoying, so maybe you're all right. I only had the one dream about baby, so I have nothing to base my guess on really. Except the couple of time I have slipped and said 'she' without meaning to. But @virginiaunicorn11 was saying 'she' too, and she got a boy. Oh well. Mostly of the clothes I purchased at the garage sales over the weekend were boys clothes. Girls clothes are just so obviously girly. At least some boys stuff is neutral or will work on a girl. I don't understand why baby clothes makers can't just make simple plain colored articles of clothing! Its either pink with hearts or butterflies on it, or blue with trains or cars on it. Can't a mom just buy a frickin purple shirt or something? Damn... :-w
I would guess boy for @mellymar too! I think I'm gonna have a boy - I've said "he" all pregnancy. I've dreamt about having a little girl a lot (though I've heard you dream about the opposite which I think someone has already said). I'm just eager to meet this little person!
Also congrats @finchfeeder80 good to know you're both well and happy!
1) Chinese Gender chart says GIRL. This influences me way more than I care to admit. 2) I had nausea all day, every day during first trimester (unless I was actively eating) but never once threw up. Hated chocolate for four months: BOY. 3) I look pretty normal, just with a big butt, boobs and belly, but no other real changes. BOY? 4) Last two doctor visits, I've been hooked up to heart monitors for 30 minutes and baby heart rate stayed below 140: BOY 5) my legs are not hairier (wtf?): GIRL
(I'm laughing at how stupid this all sounds, "out loud"!)
I never posted about the owt but when I first found out I was pregnant I bought a green striped dress from the gap that was on super clearance. I also had dreams of girls. Everyone at work but 2 people said it was a girl. And the craziest thing, the weekend I went into labor 3 people messaged me and said they had dreams of me and my girl. Bam it was a girl.
I LOVE this thread cause DH and I are constantly poking fun at each other over them 'the girl wants ice cream now, huh? Or the boy wants some beef snacks and cheese?' And I probably revisit some of the OWT every month or so and take stock, just to see where we stand
1) Chinese Gender chart - the Bump's said girl. Someone posted a link to another one that used lunar age or something and that one said boy. A couple others have also said boy depending what their criteria is. I think the boys have outweighed the girls, so I feel I must reluctantly call this one - BOY 2) Snacks - I crave both sweet snacks and salty, and it wasn't uncommon for me to want to snack on a meat and cheese plate before pregnancy, neither was it uncommon to want to chow on girl scout cookies. INCONCLUSIVE 3) The fetal heart rate - except for once - has always been 140 or below. BOY (my Dr, btw, also predicted boy at 9 weeks and again at 12 because of how 'stubborn' the little bugger was hiding from first the initial ultrasound and the heart rate Doppler. I laughed and told her, that's a sure sign that's my daughter in there - you don't know how stubborn I can be. Hubs was in the chair nodding sagely) 4) Mood - they say if you're moody, its a girl, and if not, its a boy because "you've got a little penis in you" (I love the scandalous-ness of this one!) I was upset about this pregnancy the 1st trimester, but I don't consider that mood. That was me dealing with a serious life adjustment. Mood wise I think I have been generally the same, tho may react a bit more strongly due to hormones. Generally even-keeled = BOY 5) Shape of belly - I feel my bump is high, big and round (it starts just under my boobs, from the back you cannot tell I am pregnant, and I can still wear some pairs of pants that close at my hips - hip huggers). That makes this call GIRL
Most people who know me say GIRL My prediction - the whole 1st trimester I felt it was a girl, waffled to boy for most of the 2nd, and am back to thinking girl now. GIRL
I was also wrong. I had a boy. But my instinct had begun to change back towards boy the last month or so, and was really getting stronger and stronger the closer I got to delivery. :-??
My super sexist friend is probably dying of jealousy. :P
Chinese calendar says- Girl. Heart rate always been slightly over 140- Girl Carrying all in my belly, no weight gain anywhere else- Boy Eating more sweets than normal- Girl Wedding ring- Boy
I have changed my mind throughout the pregnancy. Tons of people say boy based on how I am carrying and my sisters says I look like how she did with her boys and not her girl. Right now I think Girl after thinking boy for entire 2nd tri. The us tech at 20 weeks had us cover our eyes twice which made me think boy. Who knows!!! Can't wait!
Our baby is a girl! Our initial instinct was right.
I lied too back on that original post- my sister said I looked like her when she carried her girl, not the boys.
I would not find out with the second baby as well- what a final ride pushing was to be told by your husband what baby is. Best moment ever!
Re: Team Green: OWT tally and final prediction
Congrats @finchfeeder80 you probably have the best birth announcement photo. You look over the moon happy!!!
I second that @finchfeeder80, you look so stinking happy in that picture. So happy to hear everything is ok and you were just off the grid

How'd everyone else do with their predictions?
Bam it was a girl.
