How is everyone getting ultrasounds so early? I'm 5 weeks 5 days and the dr won't even see me for another 3 weeks
Some get them either bc of a history of MCs or due to bleeding with the current pregnancy.
I've had one MC but I still won't go in for my 1st ultrasound until I'm 8+4
I know how you feel...I've had 2 mc and still they won't see me for another week when I'm almost 8w. And won't get an us then but im going to ask for one and hopefully they say yes
It depends on your doctor- I had a loss in March and the doctor I was supposed to see didn't want to see me until I was 8 week- looks like due to the miscarriage rates being so high before 8 weeks they want to wait- this time around I picked a different doctor that would see me at 6 weeks- no ultrasound just basic check up and "confirmation of pregnancy" I have a scheduled ultrasound July 2nd at 8 weeks and 2 days!
I went to the doctor yesterday. Everything is looking great he said. my official due date is Feb. 9th, and our LO's heart rate was 141 bpm. So i'm excited now to actually know what D-Day is.
This was at 5 weeks, 4 days. We had an ultrasound earlier since we were under a fertility doc since we had problems getting pregnant and I am also considered high risk. The only pros to that- more ultrasounds . Next one is July 1 and hopefully we will hear a heart beat. Congrats to all of you
We had our dating US today. They adjusted my gestation back a week - so now I'm technically only 6w1d with a new DD is 2.15.16! We heard the steady HB of 120!
US tech told me I have a lonnnnng uterus - so the vaginal probe didn't work. This image is from an abdominal US.
These Ultrasounds are awesome!! Cant wait to see mine on the 30th! I hope they calculate the same due date I have with online calculators because it's my deceased father's birthday 2/14/16!!! Can't wait to post my little sweet pea here next week!
I'm getting a dating ultrasound because I have a four month old daughter, so I've only had 2 periods since having her. I'm 6 weeks by date today but am having my ultrasound next week.
Very jealous as I won't have one until 20 weeks (mid September seems so far away!) Love seeing all of yours though, especially all the twins!! Congrats ladies.

Holy cow thats far! I dont think I could wait that long. Waiting until 8 weeks is killing me
Surprise of a lifetime, two sweet baby heartbeats today!! Heartbeats were both about 170. Measuring 8 weeks!
Wow so many twins on here Congrats ladies!! I've had multiple dreams where I was having twins, so I'll be sure to have the ultrasound tech double check on that at my first appointment next Wednesday lol
Knottie63963465 - our first scan baby was barely visible, but not quite 2 weeks later had grown to 9mm! Hoping you get to see your LO clearly! Seeing the progress is so fun!!

I had my first doctor's appointment today (6 weeks 6 days) and they said it was "just too early for an ultrasound or to hear the heartbeat". I was so disappointed! My ultrasound is scheduled for July 6--I'm counting down the days!
@BabyGetch I'm in the UK, normally don't get first ultrasound until 12 weeks but I had early bleeding so they've scanned me every week or two until they saw a heartbeat.
Hi all! Popping in from the January side. From LMP, EDD is 2/1 (8+1), but baby is measuring at 8+4 (makes sense since I ovulated on cd10). Here's our little gummy bear!

Wow that seems super late! I guess it all depends on your hospital/doctor? I have Kaiser and their standard first vaginal u/s is always 7 weeks unless you're high risk. July 27th is actually my scheduled second u/s too. Maybe you can ask to be seen earlier just for peace of mind?
I measured at 5 weeks 5 days with a yolk sac and fetal pole. Though I thought I was going to be at least 7.5 weeks. The first day of my last period was April 30th and I got a positive opk on may 17th, so I know I probably ovulated a little late though I think I should have measured more than 5 weeks!!! I didn't get to see a doctor, just the ultrasound technician would could not answer my questions. I had more blood drawn to test hcg but I feel like it doesn't sound good. Any similar stories? I could really need some good advice....

We are with a fertility doctor since we had been trying for so long. But I live in Germany and fertility doctor or not, it's normal to receive an ultrasound at every appointment. I'm actually a little disappointed to be moving back to the states and getting less But I'm super excited to see Target again!
