Baby shower dates

December mommies.. What month are you considering for your baby shower? I'm thinking early October for mine. I don't want it to get muffled in all the holiday prepping and I think I'll be too big and uncomfortable in November.

Early September! I'm technically due 12/3/15 but my little girl has a single umbilical artery and I'll be monitored for IUGR and having BPP's or NST's weekly starting at around 30 weeks. My OB has said as soon as they decide she isn't getting enough nutrients through the cord they will induce. So.....early September would put me just in my third trimester and would fit in the shower before I start having to go in every week-twice a week to be monitored.
Even my OB advised me to be ready for baby much earlier than normal just in case! If my little girl didn't have SUA we'd probably do it Early October

My shower will be either the lady weekend in September or the first one in October. . I'm starting completely over so I need everything. . I rather hit my friends and families before they began Christmas shopping hehehe! !!!!

Looking at probably mid-late October. Due date is December 11, but I'm thinking they'll be here mid-late November. We live out of town from family, so we also have to account for travel.

My mom and my aunts want to do it second weekend of November but I'm due 12/7 isn't that too late?? I'm trying to persuade my mom to move it to late October.

Personally, that's a little too close for comfort for me. I wanted to do it well before the holidays and so that I had plenty of time to return items and purchase items i needed but didn't receive.

I personally like it when people do the showers earlier. It gives parents time to plan, put things together, and also time to get what you still need without shelling out a ton in that last month/few weeks to get your must-haves before arrival.

I'm due 12/20, but this little guy is probably going to show up a bit early. Our tentative date is the last weekend of September or first of October, just in case I require bedrest.

Earlier the better for me. I will want to get everything washed/put away/prepared before baby of course, but I am a procrastinator so the more time the merrier for me. I am due dec 26th and will be having the shower end of sept/early oct. (date isn't set in stone yet to my knowledge)

My mom and SIL are throwing me a shower Labor Day weekend (only this early because my whole side of the family had already planned to be together this weekend pre pregnancy - we all live all over the place) and then work is throwing me a Halloween shower at end of October and my SIL (DH side) is throwing one for our friends and DH family at the beginning of November. I think the earlier the better! I went to a shower this past weekend for my friend and she was 36 weeks and miserable the whole time...granted it was an outdoor bbq in Houston and humidity does not agree with a pregnant woman.

Mine is October 24, due December 18. We had to plan around the college football schedule and that was the only weekend in Sept/Oct. should be enough time to purchase items and finish setting up for baby!

Mine is Sept 13th, I'm due Dec 5th. My shower is being hosted in an event barn that doesn't have heat, so we needed to book it when the weather is usually not so bad and cold (Michigan has really unpredictable weather). Plus this gives us plenty of time to get things ready, as well as get any last minute things that we may not have gotten at the shower.

My first was due around the holidays in December. We had a local shower toward the end of September and an out-of-town shower in mid-October.

Ours will be beginning of August as my sis is planning it and is due in late August so she wanted to do it earlier. It's a bit to early for my liking but whatever I'm just rolling with it.

I'm due 12/2. My first one will be in late August because my SIL only could do then or a couple weekends in September. But I have weddings those weekends in September, so couldn't do those. August seems a bit early, but it will be exciting! My next one will be during my sister's fall break in October. And I'm sure my other one will be October or early November.

My sister is throwing me one in October. She was thinking November, but since my EDD is December 2nd, I didn't want to cut it too close. Especially since DS was born two months early last time and he came home from the NICU the day before my baby shower last time.

I don't live in the same state as my family. Every summer my dads side get together for a big vacation together. There's usually 30-40 of us that make it... This year we rented out an entire property of about 13 cabins in Asheville, NC. My cousins are throwing me a shower. I can't receive gifts b/c I'm flying. I've hinted that a "family" gift card would be great to put towards a larger priced item.
Where I live two of my gal pals would like to throw me a shower. It will be quite small as I don't have family here, and only a few good friends. I will make sure that DH family is invited to this shower. Early October is feeling good for the date.

Mine in August. Because I live in AZ (from Ohio) and I had had a trip planned to Ohio in august before I got pregnant so were just going to do it then . Plus its my birthday, and the fair!. I will also be finding out the sex at my shower. Everyone pretty much knows the sex of my baby except me. I'll find out when I cut the cake

I am looking at Oct. 17, right now. I am torn on where I am going to have it. The weather might be nice enough to do something outdoors. I really need to get an invitation list together so I can start planning size wise. My MiL insists that upwards of 40 people from her side of the family will want to attend.

My mother called yesterday to inform me of the date her and my aunt chose, October 23, without consulting me. They also began to make a guest list, without consulting me. They picked a location, my mother's house, without consulting me.
When I asked why they'd pick a date before asking me anything about it, the response was "well, that's the best day that'll work for your aunt". Ummmm... ok? Then I asked where, apparently it'll be at my mom's house. I told her I'd prefer my house as I'll be almost 7 months along with twins and it'd be easier for gift reasons. Plus, then we can show people the nursery and my home has more open space layout that would work best for some of the relatives they decided to invite who are in wheelchairs, and I got told no.

DH has decided to keep the peace and blood pressures down so he will be speaking to her today about this shower that is meant for me but being designed for my mother and aunt. Bring on the drama!

Good luck with that! I am sure they mean well and want your baby shower to be amazing. Sometimes planning can be stressful so just sit back and relax. Maybe you can provide her with a list of likes and don't likes and she can take it from there!
