Who does your baby look like?

So now that most of us have had our anatomy scans we have gotten to see a good deal of the baby..right?!? I know I did today we went back to finish the scan because he was covering his profile and was faced down so after a lot of workwork and lot of sugar we managed to see what needed (BTW the baby is 100% healthy) ! ....we also ,idk how were able to get a 3D view of my little boy and omg!!!! He looks exactly as I thought he would he has his father's cheeks and nose and from what we could see his big eyes (or shape at least) my lips and smile because he had a big old smile on one of the pictures! I was amazed.....have you guys gotten to get a glimpse of who your l.o's look like?

My son is going to be exactly like his father. We couldn't get a good view of his face, but he was more then happy to show us his "parts". His father also has a thing for mooning people. Smh

@skayser7 lmfao !!! Ha my l.o decided to flaunt his genitals by week 14 !!! His daddy was the one that said "I c my boy is going to take after me " !

@skayser7 - my son was the same way! We laughed because he held his penis the entire ultrasound... and then said "I guess he takes after his dad already". *sigh* We have to get a 2nd ultrasound done, too, since he wouldn't turn to show his face/profile at the first. But he's got a really nice spine? Let's hope he doesn't inherit my big head.

We haven't had our anatomy scan yet but we did notice in our 10 week scan that this baby has my chin (a very very pronounced feature in every single person on my moms side) and my boyfriends lips. I have tiny lips and he has much fuller lips. Funny thing was I told him the one feature I hoped the baby got was his lips and for him to prepare himself for "the chin" as we call it in our family. I'm hoping the baby will have his big eyes!

We were looking at the ultrasound thinking he looked like DH when they took his facial and profile shots. DH looks just like his dad, so I'm not shocked. They printed the pics for us and its prettty obvious that he has DH's nose and chin- they're vastly different from mine.

My first son looks identical to me, doesn't resemble his father at all ! But seeing this baby in 3D and then again at the anatomy scan he looks identical to his daddy !!

Our baby appears to have daddies chin and my little nose (which we are thankful for!) we both have huge heads and our babies head was measuring 4 days ahead of everything else.... Not the part you want huge! Lol. I am excited for this little one to arrive so we can see whose features it really does have. Fingers crossed for hubbies olive skin and my blonde hair! (Wishful thinking!)

You all are much better at deciphering features than me!
We got some fairly clear pictures at the 20w scan and while I am sure this time that he/she looks like a baby I couldn't tell you which of our features is there.
Isn't it a bit early to tell considering that at this stage there is little to no fat on babies and proportions are still developing?

@BBaires well at least in my case i can tell you that from the 3D images we got today and the 2D images we've gotten from sonograms there are some very distinct features that show up for example DH and i have very different looking noses, his is like a diamond shaped and mine is rounder at the tip from the pictures of the bb it is DH's nose. now i have a pouty bottom lip and a not as hard shaped cupids bow, DH has a very defined cupids bow and a pouty bottom lip, from the pictures the bb has my lips...I have a rather round face DH has a oval face with a well defined chin and defined cheekbones, and again the baby has DH's face shape. i asked the tech and she said from her experience features like those that show up on this scan at this time is usually what they look like!

@BBaires I know Baby won't come out with my husband's sharp jawline. He'll be a chunky little monkey. But as he gets older, I'm sure we'll see that bone structure come out.
On Mother's Day, my mom and I watched her one ultrasound at 11 weeks from her pregnancy with me and her one ultrasound at 21 weeks from her pregnancy with my younger sister. In between ultrasound videos, we watched my first birthday and other milestones for me. During my sister's ultrasound, she pressed her face against my mom and you can distinctly see my round bone structure in her face. It was really cool.
At my last ultrasound, there's one point where our baby makes a face that looks like my sister. It was really cool.

Just had a 3d look today at 24 weeks 3 days to rule out praevia. Thanks goodness no worries with that, 2cm away and I'm told it will be ok.
She looks just like her big sister did on 3d scan and that's just like daddy.

My mom and brother both think this one looks like her older sister. I don't quite see it, but I had a hard time seeing and envisioning DD1 even with the 3D pics. I see the face, I just can't digest it. It's weird, I know. She's cute, but I have no other opinion.

@BBaires I'm going based off comparing my first sons ultrasound to this boys. My first son looks identical to me when I was a baby, same ears, same lips, cheeks, head shape. And then the new baby has his own shape, the head is so different, so is his body ! Attached an image to give you an idea (: !

@BBairs aside from the profile shots and 3D ones, I feel like I can barely tell what is what on an ultrasound. I made that very clear to the techs who did my scans so they would point things out for me, haha! I swear at my 8w sono (for dating - I'm a Fertile Ho who took OCPs 100% perfectly) there's one image where he looked exactly like a little hamster.

I'm only going off the profile shots (he had his face covered by both fists during both anatomy scans I had to do haha), but his distinctive nose and lips make it pretty clear he's got his daddy's nose (that all of his family has) and his momma's lips. I also like to joke that he's gonna come out with a full beard and tattoo sleeves like his daddy, but i'm (almost) positive that's not possible.

My daughter really didn't want to cooperate in showing her profile. We saw her goods plenty of times, she's definitely all girl! But her profile was hard to capture. The one picture we did get, my mom said her profile looks just like mine did. So we'll see! I'm hoping she gets her daddy's skin color and my feminine face, minus my lips. She can have her dad's full lips!

LOL even with our 3/4D photo's I couldn't tell who any of my kids looked like until they were born. That being said my sons are spitting images of my husband so I am hoping our daughter gets something from me but our last US like my almost three year old said, it looks like mud and shapes.

really guys? i guess mb my pictures are super clear of his features are just that noticeable...to the point that even the tech commented on all the likeness, she finished with the scans and pics she needed and was chatting with us about it....pointing to them and printing them out as she went along, i have 8 good pictures of the l.o

It's not just you it's me too. My 4D looks similiar to @FrozenMommy but again it looks like mud and shapes, I can't see any specific features that make me think OMG it's me or OMG it's DH. They say your eyes can change in pregnancy and still be off a couple months after birth, maybe that's our problem. ::shrugs::

No you are right, it's half his face. The blobby thing was my placenta, which he was using to play hide and seek.

We didn't have a 3D ultrasound, so some of the details are not clear, but DD looks in profile EXACTLY like her big brother did. So I predict she's going to be a spitting image of him.

DS looks like a blend of me and DH, though he favors DH a bit. Looking at pictures of my husband at the same age, it's like looking at a brown-eyed version of my son.

I'm curious to see if DD will have her big brother's blue eyes, or if she'll have her daddy's brown or my green.

I never have any idea what I'm looking at until it's pointed out to me...like 5 times. We both have some pretty strong genes so it'll be interesting to see who our son takes after most. I don't look like my mom at all, people thought I was adopted when they saw pictures of us lol

I can't tell from the ultrasound who baby looks like at all. I still think it is the most adorable ultrasound profile I have ever seen because I am bias but I can't make out features at all. However, my sister was looking at the ultrasound pictures and said "Baby has a small nose...guess he or she doesn't take after Mama in that department!" But then again, that's what siblings are for. lol

I didn't have the 3d/4d and we didn't get a profile view at our a/s, so she looks kind of like ET to me right now. The only perfectly clear shot we have is of her feet and it's obvious she's getting her momma's size 10s, lol. Even the tech said "whoa, those are some big feet!"

I wouldn't worry about her feet size since I assume she'll be tall like both of us, but she was on the smaller weight size at 20 weeks, so I'm hoping she's just growing her feet first and her body later.

This baby looks a lot like my last girl in her us at 20 weeks so a good blend of both of us. But they always come out looking like their dad. So far our features have blended to bring out the best of both of us, so I'm hopeful. We both despise SOs father so there is always this fear that his features might sneak out but both of our moms seem to be pulling ahead. It's amazing to me how it all comes together.

And lmao at espresso foam. I totally agree, but if any of you so 3d4d around 33 weeks you will really be able to see. I've been blown away by my friends who have those shots to compare to their newborn but i don't mind waiting to see what i get.

I just had my first 3D scan during this pregnancy at 25 weeks. I have ultrasounds every 2weeks to check cervix, placenta and other things and sometimes the tech will look more closely at the baby. I will try to attach the shot. It's a profile shot of his face and his little hands are in fists in front of his face. He looks just like my other son, who is a mix of both my husband and I. I hope to have more 3D pictures.

My tech honestly said, "Don't worry, he'll look less alien-like in about 20 weeks." Granted, we've had this tech for all u/s experiences since before DD, so we were very comfortable with this commentary

DD came out looking exactly like DH as a baby, and she still has many of his features. She doesn't look much like her 20-week u/s pic. As I look at the one of our DS who is due in October, I think he definitely looks different than she did, but I can't distinguish much beyond that. They change SO much!
