Hahaha I was so worried about pooping and I did lol. But don't worry because when it's all happening you aren't going to care and to the doctor or midwife delivering you it isn't anything new to them, they just wipe you off and keep telling you to push
I don't recall farting during labor, but postpartum I pass gas ALL the time. My butthole got so messed up from pushing I have zero control. I'm 23 days pp and still farty. At least it's kinda funny and LO and I have something in common!
I hadn't eaten in over 24 hours when I was giving birth. I did poop but it was minimal and mostly saline. My husband did see though, womp womp haha. I'm super gassy now though, 9 days pp.
Not during labor but post partum yes! Any time the nurses would come press down to check how my uterus was contracting. I had absolutely no control over it. Also peeing postpartum...def peed myself the first time I got up to go to the bathroom. Again, I had no control over my bladder. I actually didn't even realize I was peeing myself at first. Childbirth does funny things to you...lol
I was totally farting last night. I couldn't help it. I'm very cautious about that stuff, I've never farted in front of DH. Last night I was like, "sorry babe, I really have to toot" and he just laughed at me cause I call it tooting. That's what happens when I work with kids for 6 years lol
I let out a nice toot after delivery when my l&d nurse was pushing on my belly to check my uterus (I think that's what she was doing) and we both laughed so hard. After spending the day with her and everything we went through, it was no big deal!
I thought I peed all over the table at least three times but DH said it must have been amniotic fluid. Birth is messy, and no one, least of all you, will be worried about farts. Promise.
I used to be worried about pooping on the table. I probably did, who knows. It was the least of my concerns, which used to be unfathomable to me.

How have you never farted in front of him?! You must!! It's one of the best parts of our marriage, haha!

Haha I just haven't, at least not knowingly. Who knows if I do it in my sleep and he hears. He, however, is a mean green tootin' machine at home #-o

This! I knew DH was the one because I could fart in front of him! The very first time he farted in front of me he decided to Dutch oven me and since then we play the door knob safety game - where the farter has to call safety after passing gas before the other calls door knob...so cheesy and fun
A week after delivery I had to go back for an unexpected D&E procedure. It was scary. And then in the middle of a serious talk with the doc, I let out a fart. That just kept. Going. DH, doc and I just started giggling, it was a nice but embarrassing bit of levity. DH likes to remind me of it weeks later by playing this clip from Stepbrothers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AMgagxCvZQ
I worried about pooping before my first. When in labor, you really don't give a shit, trust me. Neither does anyone else. Don't waste any energy on farting or pooping, you have more important things to focus on!
I apologized in advanced and told the nurses I was sure I was going to poop everywhere, they assured me they wouldn't think about it twice and that everyone does it. Turns out I didn't, which was nice. But I really didn't care when it came time to push, your complete focus is on getting that baby out!!
Thanks for all of the reassurance and encouragement! I hope you're all right and I just wont care. I still have 6 days til I'm due, just hoping my little guy gets here on time! Good luck and congrats to everyone PP and everyone still waiting.
I straight up peed during a contraction. All over the floor with my husband giving me counterpresure on my back and my mom holding my arms. The nurse just swooped in, wiped it up with a chux pad and that was that.
