Ladies - let's celebrate those fathers! For many of us, this is our first time as parents, for others, seasoned pros! While mommies play an important role in baby's life, dad's have a bond all their own. Any thing special you'd like to recognize about your DH on this Father's Day?!

I grew up without a dad (& an awesome mom), but this made me fearful of how we would acclimate our new life & how being a "dad" worked. From the moment LO came into this world my DH, who is a FTD, has exceeded my wildest dreams of what a "dad" is. Not only has he loved on LO (snuggle time, asking to change her diaper & clothes, making me go to bed so he has LO time...), he has supported me in all the craziness (which I count as a major "dad duty"). I can't wait to spend this 1st Father's Day with him!

DH has been amazing.msince I'm EBF, he has been extremely proactive about doing anything else he can that's not feelings, because he wants to be actively parenting right from the start. He has easily done 90% of the diapers.

Our friend at church pointed out that this is DH's first Father's Day, but he has two daughters and they aren't twins! (11.5 months apart!)

I feel really lucky to have my DH. He works two jobs so that I'm able to stay home with our LO and I can't express how greatful I am for that. The way he loves our daughter makes me love him more, if that's even possible. I couldn't pick a better man to havea family with. ♥

Today was DH's "last day of freedom" as he put it. I start my surgical residency tomorrow and he is staying home with LO. Having both of us home the past 6 1/2 weeks has been amazing, but it's back to the real world. So LO and I tried to make today as special as possible (aka I took baby duty and went and got dinner).

DD2 was born yesterday so we are still in the hospital. He's a wonderful daddy, but has been doing an exceptional job managing everything between us at the hospital and DD1 at home w my parents. I'm so thankful for him, to say the least.
