Anyone else get any warnings? I would figure if she got one resulting in 3rd strike and banning that some other regular got a warning, too. We all tend to have the same viewpoint, so whomever reported her would have likely reported more of us ("they're ganging up on me!" mentality). I didn't get one, but it wouldn't surprise me if someone else did
I didn't get anything! I've been fairly MIA over the past few weeks though because of adjusting to baby. I'm finally starting to be on a little more frequently!
I couldn't help myself and clicked the new thread. I forgot if it was here or angry pregnant ladies where I said I wouldn't. Tho poorly titled, I thought it was kinda a good question (re spinal block vs epidural for csections). Just sayin, sorry I clicked it and responded after saying I wouldn't. :-S
My mom won't stop suggesting I make a labor playlist. I really don't think I'm going to want to listen to music but just curious, what would be on you ladies' labor playlists if you made one???
^^ I'm gonna stick with something I can sing along to or otherwise distract myself. I know most people might go for something relaxing, but my mind is my enemy, and will work against me if I let it. Even if I can't actually sing along cause I'm too preoccupied with cursing in pain, inside my head will be somewhat distracted by vocals or beats. So, stuff like green day, sublime, 80s kind of stuff, not too crazy beat techno, that kind of stuff. I'm also going to bring anime DVDs of one of my fav shows if I want to have something for the TV instead

I brought my box that hooks up to the tv for netflix. I was able to watch 30 rock once I got the epidural, it was great for calming my nerves!
@CBHoneyB omg I could not have said that better...... Even with an induction it seems impossible........ Can't explain it. Probably the sheer physical misery is making it seem like it's never going to happen
Teetering on the edge of a huge breakdown... Sending what few good vibes I have left out to any other mamas feeling like they are at the end of their very frayed rope.
So, some of you may remember a while back we were talking about a lot of twitchy movements from our LOs in the womb, and we had a discussion of how these movements felt seizure like, etc. And I related that to me it felt like when my cat would be deep asleep and twitch a lot, and someone else said 'so, they're running in their dreams'.
WELL. Thanks to the 'I didn't know I was pregnant' show, I have just learned that babies do dream while in the womb, as early as 10 weeks, I guess. So, yeah, they *were* running in their dreams. )
@Serenamarr fingers crossed it won't be too much longer for you. I'm a nervous wreck right now. Seriously had 2 crying jags yesterday because I am beyond terrified of the c section and that something will be wrong with the baby. Trying to take it easy this weekend and rest, but I've successfully managed to let my imagination run away with me and come up with all sorts of terrible scenarios.
@KarasTwin I would be nervous too! But I am confident you and LO will do great! You're gonna rock it, mama!
Thanks @mellymar I think DH is upset I'm not more excited. He keeps telling me how much longer trying to get me excited, but it just makes me more nervous.

Yeah, I don't need a countdown, bro. I'm well aware of the minutes slipping away. Could ya try a distractionary technique instead?
@mellymar I've been reading and napping a lot. We've also got a free HBO weekend and we're watching the Jason Bateman movie Bad Words which is hilarious.
@KarasTwin i was also going to suggest distraction/keeping busy. It really works wonders when you just have a project however asinine to focus on. I volunteered to make 100 paper flowers for my friend's wedding... A decision I know I will regret. But it's keeping me from blowing up.
this is a random confession. and not intented to rub it in anyones face.. but im not scared for a csection. i am scared of what will happen to my poor virginia if i have a natural birth though. tearing is a HUGE concern for me. amd i really dont want it to hurt while wiping/peeing especially if im going to be bleeding for the 6 weeks after. i mean ive cut myself shaving before.. and that itself hurt like hell. at least with a csection i have an excuse to lay around all day and do nothing, it would give me an excuse to get another tattoo in the future, and hey.. maybe i can ask them to scoop out some of the squishy yellow stuff that calls my stomach home. :-??
Some funny items I bought for my hospital bag last weekend. Socks that say "kick this day in its sunshiny ass" and "maybe you touched your genitals" hand sanitizer. I've been meaning to share these with ya'll and finally remembered.
Possibly a dumb question-- the Boba/moby/wrap style carriers look amazing and I want one. But.... Couldn't I just go to the store and buy X number of yards of semi stretchy cotton fabric and achieve the same thing without shelling out 40-50 dollars?
Re: Weekly randoms 6/19-6/26
Silly.
Just kidding- don't ban me, mods.

Everything makes me think I'm going into labor!
I'm never going into labor.

But really good luck ladies can't wait to hear about your journey to the other side
@Serenamarr that's an excellent system! I might have to steal it
Also, @Westypet banned?!?!? WTH?!?!
