The bloat is real!

I swear it looks like I'm five months pregnant and I'm only close to six weeks. Is anyone else going through this much bloating?!

  • My bloat/gas has been horrible since I found out I was pregnant. It was one of my first symptoms unfortunately! Lol! I have been taking gas-x and that seems to provide some relief. I called my obgyn first before taking it and she approved.

Yep. I told my friend at school that I was pregnant and she said she already knew because she felt my belly when she went to hug me around my waist from behind. I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow. -_-

It's like freaking thanksgiving every day. The worst.

Haha! This made me laugh. Partly because it's so true.

  • I know it sounds crazy but I've been bloated since the day or two after we conceived. It's kind of nice because it's a little reminder of baby throughout the day. :)
  • I told my girlfriend I feel like a Macy's Day parade float! Not going to lie... I broke down and bought pregnancy jeans. I can't sit comfortably in any of my pants. And I'm not doing the hair tie thing.
  • All. Day. Every. Day.

    This sucks!

Yes and ugh it sucks. I bought maternity shorts because it's hot and my shorts don't fit.
  • Yes! I've been bloated for 2 weeks now ugh. All I want to do is eat and sleep!
  • I couldn't agree more.
I put on my jeans the other morning and they wouldn't do up.
I had to lay down on my bed and try to get them up haha. My bf was laughing pretty hard at that one.
    So I wore leggings.
  • Same here. Huge bloating. I could easily pass for 5 months pregnant! Ugg. :(

Yessssss so glad it's not Just me! I felt bad already buying a Bella band just so I don't have to go right into buying maternity clothes just yet. I just feel so huge and uncomfortable.

  • Yes, same here! I'm so close to going out and getting maternity clothes right now!
  • Can you imagine what it's going to feel like when it's not bloat anymore....
  • I thought I was the only one. I actually said the exact same thing to my husband last night!
  • I have already had two people say I'm showing and I was only 6 weeks. I told them it's bloat not baby lol

  • Yes I'm super bloated and even worse than that my boobs hurt more than they ever did during PMS and my doctor said it won't get better until week 14...bah. A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do for a healthy baby! :)

  • Oh my lord yes! I'm still a little pudgy from my son who is 14 Mo. I wonder if that's why I feel so big on top of being bloated. I feel embarrassed to tell anyone im pregnant because it's too early for me to be showing .... but my belly is huge!
  • Agreed! The weird thing for me is how tough the bloat is. I expected bloating, but I didn't realize it would feel any different than usual!

  • All of your bloating makes me feel better about my bloated tummy! I know it's not baby bump yet, but I'm getting wider already!!
  • I appear to be about five months along already and I'm 7.5 week. It's crazy. Everyone says you don't need maternity clothes until 18+ weeks- who the heck are they kidding ?! I'm about to go get some maternity pants!
  • Gosh yes, I know what you mean! I'm 6 weeks and am not as bloated as I was last week. At this point, I've just let my stomach go. I can't hold back anymore. I feel like a potbellied pig.

  • I'd rather be 6 months pregnant!! At least at that point you look like you're pregnant, not like you've been eating too many donuts!! This bloating can feel free to end at any time!!
  • I can't wait to wear maternity clothes. So comfortable!! I've had patients (I am a nurse) tell me "congratulations" already. I am not even six weeks.
  • I'm so glad I'm not the only one! When I went off birth control I oddly gained about 10 lbs in 2 months, then found out I was pregnant. So basically clothing is really not my best friend lol
  • Right there with ya! I didn't show until like 18 weeks last time. I totally look like I am 6 months along, I am only 5 weeks!!!!

  • Too bloated to button pants! Leggings are the way to go!
  • I don't remember being this bloated with my first child but it was 4 years ago. My pants are so tight already I've switched to dresses.
  • I feel the same! 6 weeks and I feel huge. But I am excited to see my belly growing
  • I feel the same way!!! Dresses for me all the time. I still rub my belly and show people who know. I know it's just bloat but it makes me smile anyway!

    Bloated for bikini season...yaaaay
  • I'm so thankful I'm not the only one having this same symptom. I'm 8 weeks but look 8 months....this is baby#3 for me so I knew I would start to show early but this is crazy. =)
