I am 29 weeks (and 1 day hehe) and i feel like at 12 weeks i wanted my nursery done then and my pram etc. but now i am just so laid back and think i have loads of time and have no nursery or no pram.
What stage is everyone else at for the preperation of baby?
Re: Are you ready?
The nursery is about 70% done. I am hoping to finish the crib today (I have a DIY project for it) and my dresser is on back order.
Registry is almost done but baby shower is not planed at all.
We got the most of the gear picked out and won't get it till August.
House is cleaned. There are sill a few things to throw out and finish some projects.
Yesterday we visited the hospital that we will be having our baby at. So I'm glad that is done.
Still looking for a doula.
Need to take my classes.
But I won't be home next week and that is driving me crazy. I feel like that is time waisted.
AAAAH!!!
This is our second, but we're still having a bump party (no presents) to celebrate this nugget. I'd like to be 100% by then, August 22nd.
Nursery is 100% done.
Shopped for tons of clothes for 0-12 months (i couldnt help it).
Have stocks of diapers and wipes.
Breast pump was delivered 3 weeks ago, ready and waiting.
Car seats sitting in boxes. Stroller assembled and ready to go
Attending Bradley classes. Birth Plan completed.
Finished OB Hospitalist Meet & Greet. Hospital Tour scheduled this weekend.
Finished the tour of the daycare for when baby is 5 months old.
Baby registry done--but only have wants on there. No idea when and where the baby shower will be
All i need to do is wash all the baby's clothes, pack the hospital bag and deep clean the house maybe 8 weeks from now.
Can you tell my husband and I are too excited?
I'm getting so anxious though!
I need to clean the house and set up all my stuff, the dogs stuff, my boyfriends stuff and then finally GET THE BABY ROOM READY!
I can't wait to be settled in and ready for the baby.
The recliner/rocking chair moved into the nursery
Have clothes bought but starting to think I need more newborn clothes (waiting to sort through some hand-me-downs this weekend)
Have a stroller and car seat
Breastpump should be here today
Have a pack n play in our bedroom
Have a mamaroo in the living room
I think that's it
I have bought a couple boxes of diapers. And plan to keep adding to that stash.
FTM and I am 29 weeks tomorrow... We have the crib up and the dresser/changing table up. We are still waiting on another dresser and rocker to arrive. Other than that... well.. that's all we have done. I feel like there is so much to do but I can't really do anything until those arrive and my shower happens I guess. (I keep getting yelled at for buying things and told I need to leave stuff for people to get us). So in the meantime my mother is helping me reorganize our basement to make room for all the baby stuff (for future and for storage after the baby grows out of things) ha talk about over planning but I have to do something! Am I missing something I should be doing instead? who knows! it will all work out if I am... (fingers crossed)
I got her clothes, blankets and diapers washed. I have boobs to feed her with. Not a whole lot else I'm doing at the moment to prepare.
all u guys are making me feel underprepared haha xx
Nursery walls are painted, recliner and crib are set up. Need to assemble the dresser, install the light fixture, and hang wall art.
Will start washing clothes and cloth diapers next month.
We start taking our prenatal classes and tour tomorrow and will have everything finished by 7/1 (breastfeeding, baby signs, and tour). Looking for a good Lamaze DVD because we can't take birthing classes at the hospital due to schedule conflicts.
We'll probably buy the stroller, car seat, and car seat base next month.
Shower is August 15th. We'll pick up what we need, but didn't get the week after the shower.
I'm panicked about getting the house organized so we can have someone come in and do a good thorough cleaning. Debating on if we're going to do a doula or not. Also our birthing plan. I know what I don't want more than anything.
Sorry for the long post! But already I feel my anxiety calming down after writing out this post and making a plan. Love you ladies!
Gosh, at 20-25 weeks it felt like we had so much time left! Not so much now haha
I'd also like to tour the hospital next month. I decided I need my moms help so everything won't be complete for baby I until the end of July when she can come visit for a few days. My SO is in charge of the house upgrades, so I'll gladly take the decorating role in all this and make sure we are ready for Baby Jace by the time August hits and I have to go back to work.
