  • I'm a ftm. We've got all the nursery furniture and it's in the nursery.. though most of it is still in boxes. We will probably put it together in a week or two. I'd like to have it set up before my baby shower (July 18th) just because we're having it at my house. But as of right now, I have stuff, just not organized or put together lol

I am at 27 weeks and I got a few things done.
The nursery is about 70% done. I am hoping to finish the crib today (I have a DIY project for it) and my dresser is on back order.
Registry is almost done but baby shower is not planed at all.
We got the most of the gear picked out and won't get it till August.
House is cleaned. There are sill a few things to throw out and finish some projects.
Yesterday we visited the hospital that we will be having our baby at. So I'm glad that is done.
    Still looking for a doula.
    Need to take my classes.
But I won't be home next week and that is driving me crazy. I feel like that is time waisted.
    AAAAH!!!
  • I'd say we're about 90% done.... Cribs up, changing station is set, neutral outfits are washed and put away, rocking chair and reading corner set, and some of the decor is on the walls. I'm about half packed with my hospital bag, talked to the doctor about pre-registering at our hospital, and we have cleaners scheduled for August.

This is our second, but we're still having a bump party (no presents) to celebrate this nugget. I'd like to be 100% by then, August 22nd.
  • I'm 29 weeks on Saturday. And we have regressed on the nursery. Lol! We had a crib set up but now my boyfriends sister is giving us her old one (it's one of those really nice ones that converts) and the one we had set up will go back to my parents. It's probably the most basic thing you can find which was fine but hey, a nicer one for free? Thanks! I don't have the room painted and don't have any decorations. My registry is almost done (thanks to my sister!) and that's about it. We kind of have to wait for my parents to move out of our house and into their new house before we can really get everything settled. Which that will hopefully be within the next week.
  • 3rd time mother. I have a ten year old and a twelve year old. I have a crib, a nursing pillow, and a monitor :-S i am starting to panic a bit! Having a huge garage sale next weekend though to make some room and for some extra money for baby things, we are also in the process of building a house ready in February so not painting and doing the whole nursery at this home.
  • @ForeverEverAfter I think it does! Thats where I started! Goodluck!
  • I move into a bigger house in 2 weeks and haven't bought anything for the nursery because of it.
    I'm getting so anxious though!
I need to clean the house and set up all my stuff, the dogs stuff, my boyfriends stuff and then finally GET THE BABY ROOM READY!
I can't wait to be settled in and ready for the baby.
  • I have the crib and change table set up
The recliner/rocking chair moved into the nursery
Have clothes bought but starting to think I need more newborn clothes (waiting to sort through some hand-me-downs this weekend)
Have a stroller and car seat
    Breastpump should be here today
Have a pack n play in our bedroom
Have a mamaroo in the living room
    I think that's it :)
  • My first and I already have nursery sorted and pram sorted lol I think I was just so excited. X

This is #3 for us, and I never got the room done for #1!!! Yikes. Dropped the ball on that one. I'm trying to tackle getting their room fixed before this baby gets here!!
I have bought a couple boxes of diapers. And plan to keep adding to that stash.
  • We're moving in a little under a month so I haven't started ANYTHING. My sister bought us the pack n play but now that we'll have a second bedroom his mom might buy us a crib, and I REALLY want to paint. We have the dresser but not the changing stuff for on top. We have almost all the clothes we'll need for the first year. The travel system came in yesterday so of course I put that together last night :) Still haven't registered for classes or taken the tour of the hospital but that's all happening in August (due September 23rd). My 2 baby showers are towards the end of July, and there might be a third in August at my work place. That one is still up in the air, and I wouldn't be expecting any gifts that are essential to baby. I feel so under-prepared but I know it'll all fall into place! I just can't wait to move!
  • 27 1/2 weeks and I would say we are pretty well about 100% done. We kept nearly everything from ds1 so I took it all out of storage and set it up in the nursery. I painted the whole room a few weeks ago and just finished clothes shopping (gotta love yard sales and thrift stores). We pretty much just need baby boy here! :)
  • Ftm 28 weeks, I already have my pram and started on the nursery this week. I'm waiting until after my baby shower in the 19th of July to buy anything else. I'm not worried, but maybe that's FTM naïveté.

FTM and I haven't done anything yet! I'm moving into our new place next week. My mom is coming to help me unpack. I need it! So I'll work on getting things together then and making a better list of things to buy. My husband is making the changing table. I'm excited for that. My mom is making the bedding and some random covers. I want be done and set by 38 weeks. I'm trying to take my time and be lax about it. I'm 26 weeks now. 12 weeks is plenty of time..... I think :-SS
  • FTM and i have the crib built, but nothing in it yet, having my baby showers at 32 weeks soo somewhere along 35 ill begin to put blankets on the bed and stuff. My thoughts sre if i set that uo months before baby is here, theres ganna be all kinda of dust and stuff on it. And thats gross lol and im pretty sure bad for baby
  • FTM and I am 29 weeks tomorrow... We have the crib up and the dresser/changing table up. We are still waiting on another dresser and rocker to arrive. Other than that... well.. that's all we have done. I feel like there is so much to do but I can't really do anything until those arrive and my shower happens I guess. (I keep getting yelled at for buying things and told I need to leave stuff for people to get us).  So in the meantime my mother is helping me reorganize our basement to make room for all the baby stuff (for future and for storage after the baby grows out of things) ha talk about over planning but I have to do something!  Am I missing something I should be doing instead? who knows! it will all work out if I am... (fingers crossed) :)

  • Nesting kicked in early for me. I wanted to get the nursery done before I got too big and ran out of steam. Now my nursery is mostly done, just need to finish a few decorative touches. I have quite a few clothes already so those are all washed and put away. Her shoes are all organized and the closet is organized by size. My shower is in less than two weeks so I'm waiting to do anything else. I plan to have the hospital bags packed a month in advance and in the back of the car don't want to take any chances of forgetting. currently at 29 weeks.
  • @Blang2014 That's exactly why i got done early. I wanted to finish everything i could before I got too big to move. Im glad I'm done with almost everything because this week I started throwing up again every morning (Hello first trimester) and my broad ligament + pelvic pain is terrible!!!

This is by sixth and our toddler is still in diapers (not to mention having kids two years apart) so the changing table has been set up for the last several years lol.

I got her clothes, blankets and diapers washed. I have boobs to feed her with. Not a whole lot else I'm doing at the moment to prepare.

  • I'm pretty much ready. I've gotten clothes and his nurses has been done since before 20 weeks or around then. I did his mural early on because I wanted to be able to fully touch the wall haha I need to get diapers and nursing pads for myself but I'll get those close to the end haha my house isn't clean because 2 year Olds make that impossible!
  • Haven't started, though it's not my first. We've given ourselves a start date of Jul 18 to start getting the baby's room ready - I'll be about 34 weeks. It's our first free weekend in about 2 months! Hope to be done by Aug 15 when we leave for the beach.

    Stroller

  • I'm probably too relaxed about how much time we have, I have the crib with attached changing table all set up in our room but that's it... No mattress even! And a couple pairs of clothes, I have so much I need to buy still! We won't be having a baby shower so I really need to step up my game haha. But all the walking around... Just thinking about it makes my hips hurt.

Thank you. I was about to ask this as well.

Nursery walls are painted, recliner and crib are set up. Need to assemble the dresser, install the light fixture, and hang wall art.

Will start washing clothes and cloth diapers next month.

We start taking our prenatal classes and tour tomorrow and will have everything finished by 7/1 (breastfeeding, baby signs, and tour). Looking for a good Lamaze DVD because we can't take birthing classes at the hospital due to schedule conflicts.

We'll probably buy the stroller, car seat, and car seat base next month.

Shower is August 15th. We'll pick up what we need, but didn't get the week after the shower.

I'm panicked about getting the house organized so we can have someone come in and do a good thorough cleaning. Debating on if we're going to do a doula or not. Also our birthing plan. I know what I don't want more than anything.

I'm 25w4d, and I have almost nothing done; I really only have clothes and a registry. I don't want to get any large items as we're moving cross-country in a few weeks, and I'm waiting to purchase more expensive items until my husband finds a job (he just graduated from an MBA program). It's stressful!
  • We are closing on a house next week. It needs a month's worth of work before we can move in. So I have nothing ready yet. Freaking out to the max that my life has to rely on other's schedules to get things done and I just can't do it myself. In trying not to stress for baby's sake, but I'm going insane.
  • I'm 26 weeks exactly and have an armoire, 25 cloth diapers, two bouncy chairs thst were given to me, a boppy pillow, all the onesies I need, 3 pairs of socks, about 12 sleepers, 1 pack of receiving blankets and 2 regular blankets. Not getting anything else until after my shower on August 1st. Two friends offered me a bassinet, a co sleeper, 2 high chairs, and 2 car seats, I just hadn't picked them up yet. I also have a $400 amazon credit I can use. I am room sharing and have painted an accent wall, will get a mini crib after the bassinet. I refinished all my hardwoods and have decluttered the house, I will say I'm 50% ready for my son. Can't wait.
  • This is my 4th so I'm feeling pretty laid back about what a baby actually needs. We have a pack & play ... In a box ... I guess once we unfold it we'll be ready. I need to pick up a pack of diapers and some onesies and we're good

This except we're having #6. We don't have a lot of stuff because we were done, but have a carseat and a bed! ;)
  • This thread is givin me anxiety!!!! I feel like I have nothing ready. I started painting the nursery a few weeks ago but the next week my husband received news that if he wants to stay with the company he's with we might have to move to Reno Nevada. I've kind of lost my motivation and feeling like we are in limbo. :( I do need to get stuff ready though because we wouldn't move till 3-6 months after baby is born. But still I hate getting everything just the way I want it if it's so temporary :( oh well I'm being emotional and pouty. Fully committing to getting stuff done this weekend. For starters: finish the last coat of paint so I can air out the nursery; order the furniture I picked out weeks ago; and go to the baby store and try out every car seat until we find one that fits my older extremely small car (a 2001 Hyundai Tiburon if anyone has any suggestions please let me know, this car has practically non existant back seat, but the manual said you can install a seat so we'll see, this car was made before the age of rear facing seat).
Sorry for the long post! But already I feel my anxiety calming down after writing out this post and making a plan. Love you ladies!

  • I'm 29 weeks and 2 days. We have our stroller/car seat travel system, lots of clothes (well, it *seems* like a lot), a rock n play, a diaper bag, a few bottles, and some bath stuff. Our shower is in 3 weeks so we'll see what we'll need after that still, but I feel good because we at least have the essentials (car seat/place to sleep/medical insurance/diapers/clothes).

Gosh, at 20-25 weeks it felt like we had so much time left! Not so much now haha :)
  • I've done virtually nothing, but I'm a teacher and my last day of school is in three days. Then my entire focus for the summer is getting everything ready for baby and my two grad school classes. We've had a guest room since we moved into our place and we are converting it to a nursery so we'll be ordering new furniture and moving the current furniture into storage simultaneously. I know we'll make it work!
  • Since we just moved, everything is in boxes. We have baby stuff... But until new carpet goes upstairs and paint goes up, there isn't much I can do. The crib is picked out (my mom is ordering but for us this week) and the next thing on my list is to pick out a car seat the first week of July.

I'd also like to tour the hospital next month. I decided I need my moms help so everything won't be complete for baby I until the end of July when she can come visit for a few days. My SO is in charge of the house upgrades, so I'll gladly take the decorating role in all this and make sure we are ready for Baby Jace by the time August hits and I have to go back to work.
  • 2nd timer here. I had the week off work this past week and got a decent amount done! Furniture is in, curtains hung, and we have some diapers and hand-me-downs ready to go in drawers. I might paint, but haven't decided yet. Pretty much just have to decorate now, and I will take that pretty slow. Also need to find a double-stroller and some cool-weather clothes for the little miss!
  • This is #4 and #3 is only 2 so it hasn't been long since we've had an infant in the house. I'll probably wait until I'm like 38 weeks along then I'll pull out my bin of newborn girl clothes, wash and put those in a dresser (haven't decided what room baby's going in yet but probably won't decide until she's 6-8 weeks old when we're moving her out of our bedroom). I need to wash our infant car seat cover and reinstall the base/move car seats around but again won't do it until 38-39 weeks or so. I don't pack until labor and we reuse bottles so I'll pull those out and resanitize.
