Sometimes the summer seems like one big card giving occasion to me. It starts Memorial Day weekend with H's birthday and ends Labor Day with my sister's. Throw in a bunch of birthdays, anniversaries, and Father's Day in between and that's a lot of cards. Seriously, the only person in my family who doesn't have a summer birthday is my mom. I always buy these cards all at once because it just seems easier to me than going back to Hallmark every other week. Well, tonight H and I swung by my parents' house to drop off my dad's Father's Day card and gifts (since we won't see him on Sunday) and as we were leaving, H turns to me and says, "I didn't want to say this in front of your dad, but that was a birthday card..."
Cue the full on meltdown.
I think my former self would have found the mixup funny. Actually, former me wouldn't have made the mixup in the first place. But hormonal, pregnant me thought it was the end of the world. My dad heard me crying from inside the house and came out to see what was wrong. So embarrassing!
Now I find myself wondering if I mailed the right card to my BIL this morning...
