Clomid and cycle length?

Hello Ladies.

I am on my first round of Clomid (50 mg)  after TTC for almost 3 years. I have a longer cycle length (37-41 days). Have any of you found that Clomid affects your cycle length one way or the other? I plan on using OPKs once I get closer to the time I would expect to ovulate - but I don't want to miss my LH surge by not testing early enough.

    Hi and welcome back! If you haven't already, please read our 'New Visitor" post at the top of the board, since it has been a while...

    Clomid tends to shorten cycles for those who tend to have very long cycles - at least that's what I have seen. GL

    2 Clomid IUI's + 4 injectable IUI's= 5 BFNs and 1 mc

    Hi @yycmama, I just finished my first round of clomid and my cycle was 29 days, whereas normally, even if I do ovulate on my own, they are over 35 days. I didn't use opks but based on bbt think I ovulated around cd18.
    I'm sure everyone's experience is different, but that was mine.
