I grew up playing soccer and it's a very divided soccer household lol my husband and his family are Real Madrid fans and I'm a die hard Barcalona fan... Got a package of Barca stuff for the baby and my mil got a thing of Real Madrid stuff lol but my great grandma was a huge Cubs fan and I grew watching games with her (she died in 2010 at 99) but my husband and I agree on college football as we are both Gator fans but we don't do basketball but I use to Indiana Ice games ALL the time.. My best friends dad helped out the team with random stuff and they all knew my name but since the coliseum was redone we no long have the Ice... It's now Indiana fuel or something like that so I haven't gone to a hockey game yet.. Lol but the Ice wasn't a pro team.. But hockey is super fun to go to and to watch lol
We are both from New England so we are huge Patriots and Celtics fans. I also love hockey so I am a Bruins. We also both went to UMASS Amherst (where we met) so of course we root for our school. Whether it is a boy or girl we can't wait to dress it up in our team outfits. My DH and I were also both good athletes growing up so we will love if our nugget wants to be active and play sports but if not it won't be that big of a deal to us.
I live for football season. DH and I were both born and raised in Wisconsin and we are absolute diehard Packers fans, like 99% of the people who live here. Pride and Glory. Have loved them since I was a baby. DD cried real tears when we lost the Superbowl last year, I was so proud of her dedication. We also really love the Badgers. I went to UW Madison, Go Bucky!
We love sports in our house...especially football! We both went to FSU and are die hard Noles and Dallas Cowboys fans as well. So fortunately we never had a problem with baby gear for DD and this new future fan. The Cowboys are actually coming in town the week that my C-section will be scheduled so I'm pretty bummed about not being able to go!!!
@favoritemandms It will be hard for me to trust someone with managing my fantasy football team since I'll be the defending champ, lol...but a good thing to consider.
The ol Hubs played football at UCLA and I played soccer... Let's just say college football is full of TV yelling. My H is already planning what sports he/she will play. "They can start with swimming and gymnastics, then soccer, football and wrestling."
College football. UGA!! Love the sec. Oh DH is a fan too but I get more into it. Both my girls have cheer outfits and plan on getting an outfit as soon as I know sex.
See, and I thought you were cool, then I find out you're a Georgia fan . UT Knoxville (because people who think there's college ball outside of the SEC always think I'm talking about Texas) all the way!!! Go Vols!!
We can be friends until they play each other then. We can friendly fight. That goes for all sec teams I root for you unless we play you.
I like the NY Giants and Yankees. SO likes the Eagles and Phillies. Watching sports has always been interesting with us unless it's hockey. We are HUGE hockey fans and both love the Flyers. DS is a Giant's and Yankees fan (just like his mama) but then he goes out and likes the Rangers. What? I see some Rangers games in my future...Wonder what kind of a fan I'm brewing now.
Huge Ohio State fans!!! Hubby and I are both alum. He also loves Notre Dame. Our little one already has many OSU onesies (ranging from NB to 24 months). My parents got him or her the cutest OSU loafers, paci, bib, and bottles. In 23 days, we will find out what we're having. If it's a boy, his room will be football themed. Our little one is due the week before the Michigan game. Can't wait to watch it while holding him or her...if the baby comes on time. Go Bucks!!
We are Clevelanders and DH is the biggest Cleveland sports fan...he proposed to me at a Browns game and I had a Browns garter on at our wedding! He is convinced if it's a boy he is going to buy all the baby jerseys and sports memorabilia he can find...I had to already veto a baby nursery with a Browns theme! If it's a girl he says he is going to get her a baby cheerleader outfit and everything. Lol! Oh yes AND I'm due on a Sunday during football season....lord help us all
Re: Any sports fan mommas?
@ShianeNicole I went to Ohio State and I married a Michigan fan so I understand a good rival- I can't stand when DH dresses her in Michigan gear.
