Expanding hip pain is no joke

ive finally got this joyful new pregnancy symptom! Trying to sleep was awful. I stuck the boppy wedge between my legs, pillows, extra blankets and tried putting my leg on my hubby when I slept. Nothing seemed to work to get into a non painful and comfortable suggestions. Any tips? How long should this last?

I think it lasts indefinitely until baby is born. Mine started recently too. My OB this morning said I could try a chiropractor, massage or physio depending on my preference and insurance coverage.

  • I get this too. At 4 am it usually becomes too much to tolerate and I end up taking a warm bath. The warmth and the weightlessness of water really help.
  • Elevate the end of your bed, just a book or so will do. It's not noticeable for your SO and it'll help give your body a break. It works magic on ligament pain and helps with loosening pelvic joints too. My uncles wife is an excellent midwife and gave me that advice with my first, I went from not being able to sit up or move to being virtually pain free. I did it because I was desperate and couldn't believe how well it worked :)
  • Thanks ladies!

Going to try that, it's been a nightmare past few weeks
  • I take several baths a week aside from my showering and they help so much! I add Epsom salt and read until the bath water gets cold. I want to try a chiropractor because lately it's been out of control.
