What I already miss about being pregnant...

Hard to believe that a mere three days ago, I was begging to deliver this little miss. I was SO READY to be done with pregnancy-- or so I thought. Now the old adage of grass being greener proves true, at least in part. I'm on Cloud 9 having her to love up in my arms, yet there are also some things I miss about being pregnant. Anyone else in the same boat? I figure it might be reassuring to those mamas who are still playing the waiting game to know that sometimes being even 9-months pregnant may be missed.

So, new mommies, anything you miss about pregnancy??

For me...

I SO MISS feeling her wiggle in my tummy.

I SO MISS having her all to myself, no need to share. :-)

  • Reassuring to hear you say that. I had a bit of a meltdown today. Every move she makes is so painful and my right butt/leg are in so much pain from the pressure.

I am 38 - 4 days and I feel like I'm limping over the finish line.
  • @OnWayto3 I miss these things too! I miss feeling him wiggle around inside me and having that special connection only he and I shared. I also miss the un-interrupted sleep at night, being able to eat whatever I wanted whenever I wanted without feeling guilty and wondering if the food I was eating would upset his stomach, and I actually miss the bump! I got very used to just resting my hands and arms there and I found myself trying to do that the first couple days PP before I remembered it wasn't there anymore. It's great having him here and DH and I have already agreed that we'd like to have one more in another 4 or so years so that's helping me with any sad feelings I'm having :)

Sleeping... Having energy to watch TV...
  • Sleep for more than 90 min per stretch!
  • Glad I'm not the only one feeling this weird feeling! I miss the wiggles too.. Sometimes I realize my hand is on the spot on my belly that I used to feel her move the most.. We've also had too many visitors lately wanting to hold her which stresses me out to no end, I always knew she was protected in my belly! - I think my anxiety that something is wrong has gotten worse since she came out which I didn't think was possible!

And I miss eating cookie cake 3 days a week.
  • Yeah I also miss eating whatever I wanted! And sleep. I miss sleep.
  • I miss feeling good.
  • I miss the wiggles and knowing he was safe and sound too but I really miss not having a single migraine! Or any allergies! I've had two migraines in the last week and allergies hit me full force yesterday.

I also miss not bleeding but I'm getting another Mirena in the next month so I'll get that luxury back soon enough.
  • I felt that way with my first, I missed everything about being pregnant. Then I got pregnant 3 1/2 months later and was so happy but I had avlot of complications . So try not to miss it too much lol

I miss it all! My fourth pregnancy and I feel the same way everytime.. can't wait to meet them but then when they are finally here I miss being pregnant. ...mostly I miss the pregnant belly, and the little wiggles inside me. ...especially this time most of all as we decided this pregnancy was my last...so its a lot harder for me to accept and deal with this time around.
  • I miss nothing! Im so excited to not be a balloon anymore. 3 weeks pp
  • I mostly miss the generosity of other people! Not only family and friends, but random strangers! Everyone opened doors for me, offered seats etc. it really reminded me how generous and good people can be!
  • I miss sleeping in my bed with my SO. I have been sleeping downstairs on the couch because everything is so convenient. I just had a crying session in the bathroom for a good ten minutes while LO sleeps. I haven't had the "baby blues" really, but today I believe I have lol. It'll be okay, but I do miss sleeping in the bed :((

I feel the same!!! I'm on the couch too and have cried a lot. Just want to sleep in my own bed

I only just hit 30 weeks before my c-section (emergency obviously) so I miss the fact that I did not get to enjoy nesting, and I miss the small baby belly I had. I miss having him all to myself like a little secret sidekick. I miss not worrying about him 24/7...he is in the NICU and it is so hard to go home at night - I felt better knowing that he was inside me and that everything I did was helping him grow...I feel helpless now :( I really miss his kicks and wiggles...since he is so tiny I only get an hour of kangaroo time a day. I only want to share him with my husband and I feel like his nurses are getting to know him better than I do. I just want to take him home and be left alone...just the 3 of us... for a few weeks.

I miss sleeping with SO as well. It's getting better at almost 6 weeks but I definitely miss sleeping with DH and sleeping in a real bed instead of a chair!
  • I miss her hiccups inside, they are so much bigger now that she's out and I feel bad when she gets them. I miss her alien movements inside, but I love holding her and I'm glad not to be pregnant (although my pregnant sleep was pretty good so I miss feeling well rested )

I haven't gone back to work yet, but it will be here soon. I'm going to miss the slack I was given at work. I work in a restaurant and so it was a very active job all the way to the end. I'm going to miss not being able to just sit down and breathe when I get stressed or tired :-\"
