Baby girl name help

Hi all

We just found out we're having a little girl this time around. I can't wait to meet her and we've been throwing around some names. I really like the name Riley Dawn (dawn after my mother in law). Just curious what people think. Is Riley an ok name for a girl?

    On a girl Riley is the new Ashley. Ashley on girls boomed and now pretty much no one uses the name. I much prefer it on a boy and on a girl it's incredibly trendy and will be dated in a few years which will time stamp your daughter's name.

    I've only heard Riley on girls, but I did want to let you know at least around us it is getting pretty popular. DS had 2 in his kindergarten class this past year, DD had one in her class and we have a cousin who will be 2 in October.

    I love Riley for a girl and I love family names as MNs too. My kids will all have family MNs :)

    Thanks everyone! It's Incredibly hard to pick a name. It does sound like it's becoming popular. We named our son Jackson and didn't know a single person with that name and now we've heard of lots of kids with that name. Decisions decisions!

    I love Riley for a girl! I thought about that name but my sis in law is pregnant too and that was her girl name pick. She found out she's having a boy and I'm having a girl but I still don't want to take that name in case she wants to use it later. Riley Dawn goes good together in my opinion. You don't hear the name Dawn very much so it's pretty and unique.
