Opinions on dress for wedding?

Alright ladies, so I have a wedding to go to next month. Right now I'm a little over 12 weeks, I'll be 16 weeks when the wedding rolls around. I'm already showing quite a bit so I'm expecting to have a decent bump by then. Some people are getting dressed up, but the wedding overall actually isn't very formal. I'm trying to keep in mind that it's still a wedding but also trying to make sure I'm comfortable. I was thinking about buying this dress, and dressing it up with a different belt and some nice earrings so it doesn't look too casual. It's also stretchy material so I think it would be good for this growing belly. I've been having a really hard time finding something and this is the only thing I can find that I like, so please be gentle with your opinions lol what do you guys think? This is my first pregnancy so I've never had to find a dress for a wedding while pregnant :)

  • Beautiful dress! I love it!!! Maxis are the best while pregnant! Maybe do a pop of color with belt and jewelry. Gorgeous.

I like it! And if it's stretchy you'll probably be able to wear it again afterwards!
  • I think that dress is perfect!
  • I think its lovely. It would look nice with some gold accesories.
  • I like it! Go for it!

Okay, I'm going to be the odd one out, slightly.

    I think it's absolutely BEAUTIFUL.

However, in looking at where the gathering happens, I feel like that would be right on your belly rather than above it? If that part slid above your bump (if you had a decent sized one at that time) I feel like it would make the top half loose and bunchy and the bottom potentially look too short ... if that makes sense?

I think it's perfect for a wedding and if it fits well, I say go for it ... it just looks to me like that middle seam could potentially cause trouble. I hope it works for you!!!
  • I love that dress and want it!
  • Love it!!!! Want it!!!! Where did you find it??????
  • It's a nice dress but I agree with @kyleneum13. The seam might hit you at an awkward spot. If you are able to try it on and it looks fine, go for it! Any plain dress you find that can stretch and is versatile is always great because you can always dress it up or down with shoes and accesories.

  • Thank you ladies for all your input! :) im thinking of buying it in 2 different sizes as mentioned above, I'm actually wondering if with the bump if it will make the dress shorter. So maybe going up a size might make up for the length?
And for all you ladies wondering where you can get it, I have an app on my phone called "wish" and the best part is, it's only $14! They also have a bunch of other cute maxi dresses on there tank style as well.
  • I think it's a really nice dress, but long sleeves !? Yikes I know me personally would be on fire. I would look into alterations on the sleeves. Around me there are a lot of seamstresses that are reasonable. I took a bridesmaid dress to get alteration in stores they tried to charge 225 she charged me 70.
  • I just downloaded the app!!!! Lord help me I may get in trouble!!!!
  • Long sleeves concern me!
  • Thanks ladies! The wedding and reception are actually inside and I get cold easily, so I think the sleeves will be okay for me. I have no meat on my bones so I could use those long sleeves lol
  • Love the dress-I have three weddings coming up that will be in my 6th,7th, and 9th months. I so badly want to find a dress that will grow with me too!
