When baby is born next month we will have a forward facing car seat, an infant car seat and two older kids. We have a SUV with 3rd row seating and I can't figure out how to fit everyone safely! Please help!
Don't worry, I have a jeep cherokee and have been trying to figure it out as well. We have a 2 year old that is on one side so I plan to put our baby girl on the opposite side. When our son was born, I felt he was safe placed in the middle so that's where his car seat was. Now that he is 2 and very rough, I do not want baby girl in the middle right beside him so she will be on the other side. In your case, I would put the older two in the very back and the two car seats in the back closest to you. If you would trust the child next to the baby I would believe that is a safe place for infant to be but if not then put one on opposite sides of the row. I also have bought a back seat mirror for the baby's seat so it will be easy for me to see her. I hope this info helped!
This is such a random question.. How can people help you out with suggestions when we don't know your children's ages, your car, the brand of car seat and whether it's isofix etc etc. The most logical to me would be to have the car seats in the second row outer seats and the older kiddies in the back so you can get access to the little ones easiest but I'm guessing it's more complicated than that if you are asking here? X
Sorry if you feel that way, it wasn't my intention but seriously if you can't figure it out how do you expect anyone else to give suggestions without at least including the detail? X

This was definitely not rude, and she even asked for clarification on your situation AND answered your original question based on what she could conclude. Goodness.
Check With your local fire station. Many times they are able to inspect that car seats are installed safe and properly. Maybe they could help with positioning.

Where do you live? I'm in the mid west and the local fire department fits baby and car seats. They were extremely helpful and would probably give you some great tips/help.
