which brand of strollers or car seats or travel system you prefer ?

hi all moms to be,
I m sorry if this question is not proper or not but just got confused with the different brands of strollers and car seat or travel systems.
If I find, there are negative reviews for each and every brand.
Which brand you took or thinking to take?. I think we should reasearch it by now so that can find the good deals by Father's Day or indepence day.
Please help with your input.

Re: which brand of strollers or car seats or travel system you prefer ?

  • I've recently discovered Peg Perego and love the features! They are super safe, the stroller has a turning radius that lets you easily maneuver in tight spaces, and the harness of the car seat fits the baby body better.
  • Loading the player...
  • I'm getting uppa baby vista. I know s few people that are very happy with city mini gt. only complaint I've heard is the basket is small.
  • Loving the Stokke Trailz travel system with bassinet and carseat adapters.

Last month I thought I was set on the peg perego book but when I saw it in store I wasn't a fan of the loose looking fabric. STOKKE AND UPPABABY VISTA are much more sleek looking and seem easier to maintain/clean

Totally wish Stokke was in our budget.

@ashwinidhole83 do you know what features you want in a stroller? That would help up provide you with suggestions.
  • The Peg Perego car seat is one of the heaviest car seats I tried. Keep in mind that it's not just te seat your hauling around, there's a baby in there too ;)
  • I researched and researched and had my mind set until I went to the store and tried them all out. I suggest you go see them all in person before you weed any out. My husband was also very helpful on the trip, reminding me that I should choose a car seat that would not be too heavy for me once the baby was in it. Also one that would be easy to fold if I was holding the baby. A one handed fold is the best way to go for any stroller.
  • What stroller you pick is going to greatly depend on what you need it for. We are going with the BoB jogger because it maneuvers easily, you can unfold the thing one handed and is great on surfaces other than pavement. We went with the Chicco Key Fit 30 for the car seat because of the excellent crash ratings and not a single parent I have talked to has had anything negative to say about it. Good luck with the shopping!

  • I totally agree with @excited2bmommy09, think about how you want to use the stroller and what features you'd like. Where we live there are a lot of trails, some are paved and some are packed dirt/gravel. So the feature we really wanted was a smooth ride. We were looking at BoB joggers and the City Mini GT. We already have a jogging stroller that we got used (a Chariot that we don't want to use as a primary stroller), so it came down to weight and ease of folding for us. We went to Buy Buy Baby and tried them out, and decided to get the City Mini GT. We also got the Chicco Key Fit 30 car seat. Chicco makes a travel system, but the stroller that comes with the Chicco travel system did not have the smooth ride we wanted from a stroller.

  • Husband and I agreed on the Uppa Baby Vista, as well. Since I LOVE running, I had my mind set on the BoB Revolution, but ended up with the one he liked :( Husband agreed to watch our bambina while I go out for a run... ;)
  • I'm thinking about getting the Chicco Urban 6-in-1.
  • We got the Chicco Bravo Trio Travel System; I did a lot of research and found that this was the best for us. It is easy to use and store. It becomes a frame stroller which a lot of moms I know recommended this. The car seat easily snaps into the stroller as well.

The Baby Bargains (2015 edition) book is a great reference tool. It has brand ratings to help determine what "the best" product is and why. I would definitely recommend it as well as going to an actual store and trying out strollers/car seats.
  • After a lot of research and a very scary personal experience we decided to go with Chicco! I pretty much knew that I wanted a Chicco car seat after I was in a bad car accident with my nephew (he was 4 months old at the time), it was my first time driving him so I was cautious and ended up being rear ended at a stop sign and when the cop arrived and checked on my nephew and said "that's the Fort Knox of car seats" that pretty much sealed the deal for me! Thank god my nephew was fine and is now a happy and healthy 3 year old and I'm doing well after neck surgery. But it's all preference and research your heart out!! Everything has at least one bad review but as long as the good out weigh the bad, and it is super important that the car seat is installed correctly!!
  • I don't have a preferred brand, but I just wanted to suggest that if this is your first and you plan on having a second child that you should consider looking at strollers with an option for adding a second seat.

The new UPPAbaby Vista and the City Select, both have options for a second seat. If you get an older model of the UPPAbaby Vista (earlier than 2014 I think) the second seat option is not ideal for the older kid.

We'll have 2u2 for 4 months so we have to buy a new stroller to accommodate both, since we have the older Vista (thankfully it was a hand-me-down!). We're looking at Contours Options Elite for our next one.
  • We are going with the Orbit Baby O2 system. It hasn't even been released yet but it looks great. It's a regular stroller that turns into a jogger! Was going to go with Orbit Baby G3 but I want the jogger instead.
  • Love, love, love my Chicco cortina/keyfit 30 travel system! Easy to install and use and the stroller held up great for 4 years. Bought a new travel system for this baby because I loved the old one so much. (Car seat was expired)
  • UPPAbaby Vista here, paired with the Nuna PIPA car seat. It has amazing safety ratings (European) and one of the lightest we found at 7.7 lbs. I also really like the fabric and sleekness of it. Some of the others are so bulky with icky color options. We wanted solid black which isn't so easy to find.
  • We decided on the Bugaboo Buffalo as the stroller and the Britax bsafe 35 for the car seat.
  • My in-laws bought us the Recaro Denali stroller with the matching recaro coupe infant seat! We love it so much! The stroller is light weight and easy to move around. The car seat looks super comfy! It's full body side impact protection, comes with a infant pillow to keep the baby snug, cloud comfort memory foam and extra large canopy! :x
