Sometimes it's okay to let baby cry. If you've fed burped and changed your baby and you honestly really need to get something done, put baby in a safe place near you and take care of what you need to.
My baby does the same once and awhile. I'll just either put her in the carrier or put her down for q few moments somewhere safe and quickly do what I need to. 9x out of 10 she falls asleep in her rocker after a little fit
We had the same issue and we discovered that she had acid reflux. I'd give the pediatrician a call, it made a huge difference a week after we started treatment. Good luck, hang in there!
I also will set her down if she is fed & clean. I have 2 other kids who need me too, a house to take care of, and meals to prepare. It's just not physically possible to hold her as much as she would want me to. And that's okay. She gets plenty of snuggles overall and if she cries for 5-10 minutes while I'm doing what needs to be done, then that is fine.
I usually use the Cybex U.Go wrap which works perfectly with my colicky LO- he falls asleep within 5 min after wrapping:) so I have 2 hands free to make some things done while he sleeps
